In the morning, we will drive from Accra to the Cedi Bead Factory which is a site for learning bead making and its significance in Ghanaian Culture. You will get to check out some already-made beads displayed for purchase. Guests will also get the opportunity to experience the process of bead-making from start to finish.
After, we will enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Volta with a view of the Adomi Bridge located at Akosombo. It’s surrounded by a man-made Lake and islands. The Lake generates electricity for Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso etc. Overnight Stay in Hohoe.
We will begin the day with a hike to the tallest mountain in Ghana, Mount Afadjato. This mountain is surrounded by nature and the hike to the top gives you a breathtaking view of its surroundings. It takes about an hour to 2hours to climb the mountain and descend but the duration will usually depend on the individual and their hiking pace.
After, we will visit Wli Falls is known to be the longest/highest waterfall in West Africa. The fall is locally known as Agumatsa Waterfalls, which simply means “Allow Me to Flow ''. The walk to the waterfall is about 45 minutes and another 45 minutes to walk back to where the tour began. After our hike to the falls, nothing feels better than taking a refreshing swim in the clear pool at the base letting those cool waters wash over you.
Finally, we will visit the Tafi Monkey Sanctuary, where the sacred Mona monkeys have lived side by side with locals for centuries. These playful creatures, aren’t shy about making friends—especially if you have bananas! The sanctuary isn't just about monkeys but also a perfect example of how traditional beliefs have helped preserve both nature and culture in this unique community.
