Join me for a serene 3-day retreat at Green Gulch Farm, a Zen center with a vast garden, Japanese-style accommodations and a fully equipped yoga studio nestled between the trees and ocean. This retreat is designed to help you break away from everyday life and drop into a quiet place, connecting with your body, breath, and inner landscape.
Daily Yoga Sessions: Experience Margi’s signature style of yoga, with a focus on breath, alignment, mindfulness, and JOY! All necessary yoga props will be provided. The practices will be designed for those who have been practicing yoga for at least one year. Exceptions can be made with Margi's permission.
A sound bath on Wednesday night with Jodi McLean
Guided Meditation & Pranayama: Delve into deep stillness and clarity through guided attention and breath practices. There will also be the opportunity to sit with the Zen community at Green Gulch.
Nature: Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Green Gulch Farm, with opportunities for hikes and peaceful walks through the Zen center’s extensive gardens and farm. Gorgeous Muir Beach is an easy 20-minute walk from the property, a perfect spot for a cold plunge in the Pacific. Additionally, there is an infared sauna on the property for further relaxation and rejuvenation.

Margi roots her yoga classes in Buddhist philosophy and meditation and in The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali so that the physical practice manifests in a calm and spacious mental state, both for the sake of the practitioner and their community. She sincerely hopes her students stay centered and calm off the mat as well. Her classes emphasize clear alignment, mindful breathing, diligent effort, and deep relaxation so that the benefits of yoga reveal themselves. Taking a cue from the Buddha, Margi’s classes are lighthearted, as she believes it is imperative that we come together and study this vast subject with joy.
Margi holds a BA from Mills College and an MFA in dance and choreography from New York University. After attending yoga teacher training at Cyndi Lee’s OM Yoga Center in 2001, she knew that a life immersed in yoga was right for her. She taught at OM for 10+ years before moving home to San Francisco, where she now teaches classes, workshops and trainings. www.margiyoung.com
