Set off on a rugged off-road journey through Donegal’s untamed Inishowen Peninsula. This immersive 4x4 tour takes you far from the tourist trail — along ancient coastal tracks, windswept bog roads, and hidden backways. Discover famine stories, Star Wars filming locations, and Ireland’s wild northern frontier.

🗺️ Itinerary:

1. Meet & Depart (0:00 – 0:15)

• Pickup at Greencastle Harbour (cruise tender drop-off point)
   
• Meet your friendly local guide and climb aboard our fully equipped off-road vehicle
   

2. Off-Road Scenic Drive (0:15 – 1:30)

• Leave the main roads behind and follow rugged coastal routes rarely seen by visitors
   
• Traverse bog tracks, hill passes, and cliffside lanes with sweeping ocean views
   
• Photo stops at secret viewpoints overlooking:
   
  • Kinnagoe Bay
     
  • Five Fingers Strand
     
  • Wild Atlantic cliffs & remote beaches
     
• Hear tales of shipwrecks, smugglers, and ancient Celtic lore
   

3. Doagh Famine Village Stop (1:30 – 2:45)

• Arrive at Doagh Famine Village, an open-air museum telling the story of Irish survival
   
• Entry is optional and paid directly at the gate (~€12–15)
   
• Those not joining the tour can explore the beach nearby or relax with refreshments
   
• A rare, authentic look into Ireland’s rural past
   

4. Lunch at a Local Favourite (2:45 – 3:30)

• Enjoy a hearty lunch in Ballyliffin — we recommend Nancy’s Barn or a hidden local café
   
• Try seafood chowder, Guinness stew, or homemade wheaten bread
   
• Cost of lunch not included
   

5. Malin Head Exploration (3:30 – 5:00)

• Continue off-road to Malin Head, Ireland’s northernmost point
   
• Walk the headland, visit the WWII signal tower, and view Star Wars filming spots
   
• Learn of shipwrecks, WWII surveillance, and legends of the north
   

6. Wild Return Route (5:00 – 6:30)

• Return via quiet hill roads and more off-road tracks through moorland and stone-walled lanes
   
• Arrive at Greencastle in good time for your cruise departure
