About this trip

Join our unforgettable 10 or 14-day adventure!

Embark on a transformative 10 or 14-day journey to Guatemala with a group of like-minded travelers. This adventure is more than just travel, it’s an opportunity to connect deeply with Mayan culture, and, most importantly, yourself. Hike volcanoes, walk the cobblestone streets of Antigua, explore Lake Atitlan and a black sand beach, learn about traditional herbs and rituals, and do it all with a group of incredible women. You’ll support local families and businesses throughout every activity, and learn more about our NGO social projects, even visiting the rural village of Santa Barbara to volunteer with the children we support.

Airport Transfer

We pick you up at the airport and bring you straight to your accomodation

Deluxe Accomodation

A beautiful and detail-oriented accomodation with pool and sauna. Shared rooms (4-6 px.) or private room option (330 CHF extra costs). At the lake you will sleep at one of our host families.

Day 1

Welcome to Antigua

Morning and Afternoon: Airport transfers to our accommodation are available all day!

Evening: Settle into your accommodation and join us for a welcome dinner and drinks, where you will meet your fellow travelers and hosts.

We advise to book a flight that arrives no later than 3pm.

Day 2

Make an Impact

Morning: Today is a special day that we believe will impact you for years to come. Visit the village of Santa Barbara, where our NGO, The M Story, is making a difference through education programs and women’s empowerment. Spend the day supporting the local community - play with the children, connect with their families and learn more about life in rural Guatemala.

Evening: We gather for a gentle reflection workshop to process the impressions and emotions from our day with the children in the village, sharing thoughts and intentions as a group. We’ll then enjoy a relaxed group dinner, either in Antigua or at our accommodation in Jocotenango, creating space for connection, grounding, and meaningful conversations as the journey continues.

All meals are included today.

Explore Antigua's Heritage

Morning: Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading out on an Antigua sightseeing tour led by local guides.

Afternoon: Experience a five-hour ATV adventure that takes you to three stunning mountain viewpoints overlooking the city, the valley, and the surrounding volcanoes.
This tour combines adventure, panoramic landscapes, local food, and a unique eco-park visit.

Evening: For those hiking Volcano Acatenango, we'll gather for a pre-trek meeting to meet our guides, gear up, and get prepared for our hike! Pacaya Hikers, enjoy some free time or head to a near by rooftop and relax. Tomorrow's an active day! We'll enjoy a group dinner before heading back to our accomodation.

Conquer the Volcano

All-Day Adventure: Embark on an overnight-hike to the active Volcano Acatenango or on a half day-hike to volcano Pacaya!

Acatenango Hikers will begin their experience at 7am and return mid day on Day 5.

Pacaya Hikers will begin their experience at 2pm and return the same evening.

Recharge, Relax and Reflect

Morning: Pacaya hikers: Enjoy free time to explore (with recommended activities from your trip leader) or optional volunteer activities at the Day Care Center

Acatenango hikers: Wake up at Basecamp to watch the sunrise, descend from the volcano and arrive back to Jocotenango in the early afternoon

Afternoon: Pacaya hikers: Additional free time to explore Antigua or relax with a massage

Acatenango hikers: Book a massage and relax on the terrace to enjoy the view of the volcanos (what’s a better way to recover after an overnight hike??)

Market Day and Tranquil Waters

Morning: We'll take a private transfer to Chichicastenango, one of Central America's largest and most vibrant markets, the journey will take approximately 2 hours.

Upon arrival, we'll meet our local guide and explore the sights, sounds, and tastes of Maya heritage.

Afternoon: We'll then depart for Lake Atitlan, arriving to Panajachel early evening and taking a private "lancha" (boat) to San Juan La Laguna.

Evening: Included in our trip is a two night stay with one of our local Mayan Homestays where you will feel like part of the family! Through this experience, your Guatemalan "mom" will prepare your meals for you, and you'll get to experience local life on the shores of Lake Atitlan. These stays are very modest, and your family will only speak Spanish with you. This is a great way to immersive yourself in the Mayan culture. Optionally, you can stay in a locally owned hotel if you feel more comfortable.

Connection and Creativity

Morning: We're going on an adventure with our kayaks or stand up paddleboards (SUPs) to explore the Lake Atitlan with absolute freedom. Let's enjoy a relaxed morning with the option to head to a beautiful nature reserve and swimming spot just a 10 minute boat ride away.

Afternoon: We'll gather for a walking tour of San Juan La Laguna lead by one of our Indigenous local guides. You're learn how they fabricate textiles and how important cacao is for the Mayan culture. Then we'll head to a locally owned art gallery for a painting workshop.

Evening: We'll have a free relaxed evening.

Day 8

From Lake Days to Island Life

Morning: We'll do a morning hike lead by guides from a local eco-school and learn more about the natural flora and fauna of the area.

Afternoon: We'll gather for a farewell lunch before taking a private lancha back to Panajachel and embarking on a private transport to La Aurora airport.

Evening: We'll board a quick 45 minute flight to the Island of Flores, our homebase to explore Tikal! We'll settle in and have dinner at our accommodations restaurant.

Day 9

Into The Jungle

Morning: We'll embark on a boat tour along the Island of Flores and surrounding areas. We'll visit an animal and wildlife rehabilitation center, a local museum, and cruise along the river.

Afternoon: We'll gather for lunch and then leave at 1pm for our sunset tour of Tikal National Park. Learn about Mayan history while strolling through ancient ruins. You'll see monkeys, birds, and other stunning wildlife native to Guatemala. We'll watch the sunset over the trees and ruins.

Evening: We'll head back to Flores via a private transport and enjoy a final group dinner of our included tour, sharing memories and reflecting on our incredible experience together.

Day 10-12 - OPTIONAL

Surf and Chill

Morning: We'll head out on an early morning flight and land at La Aurora Airport. From here, travelers have the option to stay at the airport and head home, or continue their journey with us to El Paredon. We'll have a private transport available to take us to this gorgeous black sand beach.

The rest of your time will be spent relaxing in El Paredon — the perfect place to slow down after an inspiring and impactful experience. Enjoy surfing, ocean sunsets, and peaceful moments to reflect, recharge, and fully take in everything you’ve experienced. A beautiful, grounding way to ease back before heading home.
