Culture
We will explore Antigua on foot. Take a walking tour on the cobblestone streets while learning the history of Guatemala. You'll participate in some fun cultural activities and have free time to explore and get lost in this beautiful city.

My trip with Vivid Roots to Guatemala (the Sage International Guatemala Impact Adventure) was absolutely incredible! The people were warm and welcoming, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Vivid Roots did an amazing job organizing everything, from meaningful community interactions to touring the markets, historical sites, volcanos, and lakes to providing safe and clean lodgings. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a transformative travel experience.

Unique experience, I enjoyed the people and culture as well as the service projects. There were a lot of extra financial expenses that I was not aware of. Renting a horse, paying for meat at meals, confusing tipping. The organizers of the trip were not in my group and I would have expected at least one of them in each group, so that was a bit off putting. All in all I would go again.

This trip was a life-changing experience. I got to connect with others in ways I never expected to, and I learned a lot about myself during this trip. Helping others really helped me get more in touch with my own humanity as I learned that a little bit of service goes a long way. Everything was planned and executed so well and I’m grateful to have been brought along on such an incredible adventure.

Overall this trip was an amazing experience. The service and adventure were equal parts fun and eye-opening. This group was relaxed and accommodating to everything we needed/wanted.
