The purpose of the Palestine Trek (PalTrek) is to introduce trekkers to Palestinian culture, history, and people, to foster understanding of the reality of life under military occupation, and to highlight the Palestinian narrative. PalTrek has contributed over the years, and will continue to contribute, to changing the discourse on the Israeli occupation of Palestine - what is often framed as a "conflict" - by critically engaging graduate students through a robust week-long trip to Palestine. In the current political climate, this goal is more important than ever. During the trek, students will meet with Israeli and Palestinian human rights advocates, business owners, and community leaders, come face to face with the West Bank wall and checkpoints, enjoy the lively nightlife and food of the region, and visit heritage and religious sites.

Can't say enough good things about this trip.  The planning team and organization was phenomenal. Everybody should have this experience.

Wonderful trip. Went to a variety of amazing places and learned life changing information. Only wish there was more time to do more.

This was my favorite trip of HBS. All of the guides, drivers, community organizers, speakers, and activists we met with were truly world class, and I learned so much about the history, the land, the people, and let's not forget the food!

Kat and Emma were wonderful organizers. They were very attentive, helpful, and organized throughout the whole trip. The trip was very informational and fun at the same time. Thankful for the experience with our two organizers. 

NYU Law PalTrek 2023

A thought-provoking mix of speakers, tours, and experiences. The organizing team was stellar in their ability to navigate logistics, be flexible, and guide trekkers. I learned so much and was transformed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the opportunities to witness and engage.

We had a good visit to Holy places in Jerusalem, however, coordination in some areas was missing. Interesting insight about Palestine's plight by occupation IDF. Missed the local food at local joints, it would have been truly a pleasant experience if added. Even visit to famous Churches were short & missed a lot of valuable information.  Regarding the accommodation part, well we were three to a room when most stayed two a room despite full charges for the trip. This was not fair & bad taste for sure.  
 
The group members were nice and very cooperative throughout the trip and enjoyed their company. At the end of the trip, the tour coordinator seems indifferent about the arrangements. Whereas coordination should have been made for members, especially traveling back early.

PalTrek was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would recommend to all. I felt safe and well taken care of throughout the trip and believe I got a real sense of what life is like in Palestine. Our tour guides and their partners were all so kind and generous with their time.
