About this trip

Join us in beautiful Sonoma wine country at the time of the Wine Harvest Season for a relaxing weekend in nature with yoga, wellness, hiking, nourishing and local food and delicious healing wines. We're thrilled to be going back to the wonderful Westerbeke Ranch, just 1 hour drive north of San Francisco, and 5 mins drive from Sonoma town plaza.


Nourish your body, connect with your self and nature, and relax and rejuvenate!


The yoga classes will be mostly Vinyasa Flow, linking movement with the breath, moving your body through both power and restorative poses. The classes will be theme-based, creative and balanced and will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, detoxing, energizing, and meditation. There will be one Yin/Restorative class. Modifications will be provided for all levels with the intention of everyone feeling comfortable yet challenged if you wish! You will experience a safe and nurturing practice, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energized.

The retreat will be held at the beautiful Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma, California, just 1 hour drive north of San Francisco and 5 minutes drive from Sonoma plaza, in the heart of breathtaking Sonoma wine country.


Westerbeke has a lovely rural Ranch feel and nestles amid stately oaks, surrounded by rolling grass hills and vineyards in Sonoma's Valley of the Moon. There is an onsite outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna for soaking and relaxing after yoga or hiking. Delicious fresh, local, nutritious, sustainable and hand-made farm to table food will be served 3 times daily, by wonderful cooks of the highest caliber, artists in their own right.


The closest airports are Sonoma County Airport (30 mins drive), San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK) and Sacramento (SMF) Airports. SFO, OAK and SMF are approximately 1.5 hours drive from the retreat center. If you do not wish to rent a car, airport bus schedules from SFO and OAK to Sonoma county can be found here. The nearest bus station to get off at is Petaluma or Sonoma County Airport, 30 mins taxi or Uber to/from Westerbeke Ranch. Coordination of transport to/from the retreat is not included. Driving directions will be provided a few weeks prior to arrival.

Accommodations

The rooms are colorful, and country style, and contain 2, 3 or 4 beds, with a private bathroom per room. Body wash and soap is provided. Please bring your own shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer if desired. Single, double, triple or quadruple occupancy is available. Limited single occupancy available.

Sally Mitchell, RYT 200 Hour Yoga Teacher, Certified Massage Therapist, ChiRunning and ChiWalking Instructor, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach


Sally is passionate about teaching and healing to share with others the practices that have helped her to heal her own body and discover a path of transformation and greater self awareness. Growing up in Scotland, Sally has been an athlete since childhood, always loving movement and fascinated by the human body and the mind. She is so grateful to have the opportunity to inspire and coach others to become healthier and happier and awaken to their inner desires and purpose, through the gifts of yoga, meditation, mindful movement, massage and energy healing. What To Bring

Yoga mat, comfortable and loose fitting clothes for yoga and hiking, hiking or walking shoes, water bottle, flashlight, bathing suit and optional robe for pool and hot tub, sun lotion and sun hat, warm and waterproof jacket or sweater for cool or wet weather, optional eye mask or hand towel to cover eyes during guided meditations.


Note: Dogs and other pets are not permitted. The only animals that are allowed are certified service animals, accompanied by a person with a disability.

Sally Mitchell is the founder of Body Flows Yoga Retreats, leading yoga and wellness retreats. Most well known for monthly Yoga, Hiking Wine Tasting retreats for all levels in Sonoma, California Wine Country, Sally is passionate about teaching and sharing with others the practices that have helped her to heal her own body and discover a path of transformation and greater self awareness. My two sisters and I went to a yoga retreat with Sally in March 2019 at Westerbeke ranch. The whole weekend was welcoming and relaxing. I enjoyed the amount of yoga we did each day. Sally’s style worked well for all levels, from beginners to advanced yogis. She encouraged connections across the group, and provided opportunities for everyone to get to know one another. The wine tastings she hosted each night have us a chance to relax and taste excellent wine. She adjusted the schedule as needed to meet the needs of the group. Westerbeke Ranch was delightful, with cute rustic cabins, beautiful grounds, and delicious food. Thank you for a rejuvenating weekend! I’ll definitely register for more yoga retreats with Body Flows.

this was an amazing trip with a fun yoga instructor and a great group of women. I would do another body flows yoga retreat anytime
