WELCOME TO HATCH ADVENTURES COSTA RICA!
Our first Hatch Adventure of 2022 will be to Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula, "the most biodiverse place on Earth" according to National Geographic. The trip will be led by Peruvian-American filmmaker, Latin America travel expert, and longtime Hatcher Marco Ríos Bollinger.
Marco has a long history in the Osa and through this adventure HATCHers will reap the benefits of his connection with this magical place. The trip will retrace many of his steps making his first documentary film in the Osa about the impacts of tourism development, and visit with local changemakers that have pioneered community tourism in the region. Marco has directed projects for the UN Refugee Agency, worked with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, photographed Beyoncé and Obama, and is co-founder of Lokal Travel, a social enterprise dedicated to sustainable travel with meaningful cultural immersion.

Rural Community Experience
We're off to see the little-visited interior of the Osa to experience local life alongside the Rancho Quemado community. We'll join Juan Cubillo for an artisanal gold mining tour and the Villalobos family for private canoe ride to a private lagoon bird sanctuary.
Snorkel Isla del Caño
Swim with sea turtles, eels, manta rays, and hundreds of species of fish. Discover the abundant marine life that helps make the Osa Peninsula the most biologically intense place on Earth.
