About this trip

We will meet in South Florida and fly to Havana Cuba for 5 days and 4 nights of cultural exchange activities and excitement and the wonderful thing is we will do it by bicycle. Depending on the time of year, we will fly out of Ft Lauderdale or Miami. If you can find a direct flight from your city to Havana, we will pro rate the charge of the tour (ask for details).

Each day we have a route that is unique. The routes are from 15 to 25 miles a day. Some of the places we will go to our Old Town, Hotel Nacional, Casa Fuster, Hemingway Marina, the Miramar district, The Fort, The Christ Statute, near the University, Cojimar,  the Malecon, The Art Factory, The Yellow Submarine Club. At the end of the tour, we usually donate a bike or bike supplies to a cause or church. Even though the miles are short, there is a lot of saddle time due to the stops, getting on the ferry, eating lunch and picking up supplies and shopping. This is not for newbies due to traffic but you don't have to be a pro either.

We will stay in a house in the Vedado District and you can share a room or have your own at no additional cost. Vedado is a district in Havana and Havana is a very spread out city. So we will not ride out in the country, however when we go to Cojimar, we will be close to the countryside and riding along the coast.
