Vermont Sacred Medicine Retreat

July 19-21, Londonderry VT

Join us for a short healing retreat in the countryside of Vermont. We will have the opportunity to have a nighttime ceremony with a sacred cactus from the Andes region, as well as limpias, or energetic cleansings, plant baths, hape (tobacco medicine), and guided meditation.

Katie will be hosting this retreat.  She is from Chicago, USA, and  has lived in Ecuador for five years, hosting retreats with her partner, Miguel, and assisting in Ayahuasca, San Pedro and Wilka traditional plant medicine ceremonies. She has recieved the blessing to work with the sacred medicine San Pedro, and has started doing her own ceremonies with this plant. She gives energetic cleansings, plant baths, and massage. Katie is also an ancestral medicine and midwifery student of Mercedes, an indigenous healer from Otavalo, Ecuador. She has learned herbal medicine, massage, and energetic/spiritual healing techniques from her. 

This retreat is great for folks looking to improve their mental and physical health, connect deeper with their spirit, mother Earth, and the Great Spirit. With the use of sacred plant medicine, and other healing modalities such as energetic cleansings/plant baths, we will clear blocks that we might have in our spirit, which may manifest in various problems in our lives. 

We will have a maximum of 5-7 guests

Please bring a headlamp or flashlight if possible for the ceremony, clothes, swim suit if you wish for the plant baths.

Although in 5 years of hosting retreats and working in ceremonies, we have never had any health issues with folks, there is always a risk of emotional, physical or mental health discomfort or issues. Occassionally folks might trip while walking to the bathroom during the ceremony, but I will be there to help folks as necessary. It is important to stay in the ceremony space during the ceremony, and not go walking off on your own. Sometimes plant medicines can bring up difficult emotions, we might feel light-headed or nauseous, we might vomit, or feel odd sensations and even pains during and after the ceremony. This is not necessarily bad, and is oftentimes the medicine working on you.

I herby acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in a retreat I have chosen with Allpa Mama Healing / Katie Mullan. I understand that by signing up for this retreat I accept and assume responsibility for any and all risks, whether or not specifically itemized herein, to include travel to and from activities and facilities. I understand that the ceremonies in which I voluntarily choose to participate may be physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually demanding. I understand that I may experience dizziness, nausea or other physical upsets including vomiting and diarrhea. I accept full responsibility for anything that may occur including emotional disturbance, mental disorientation and any and all possible manifestations of physical, emotional and/or mental changes. I acknowledge that the risks and potential benefits of my participation have been explained to me and I freely choose to enter this process accepting full responsibility for whatever may occur, anticipated or unanticipated. I hereby knowingly and voluntarily assume the full risks of any physical or other injury, damage or losses, either to myself or caused to others by me during any of the ceremonies. I hereby irrevocably release Katie Mullan / Allpa Mama Healing. They shall be held harmless and blameless in the event of any mishap. I understand that the retreat and recreation activities which are a part of the retreats at Allpa Mama Healing may involve some risk of injury or death from activity in any activities as part of this retreat.. I am prepared and aware of the possibilities of risks and will not look to any entity or individual nor hold them responsible for my well being or the protection from such risks whether or not those risks are known or unknown by those organizations or individuals.

I agree to disclose in my application all truthful information relating to my medical history, current medications being taken as well as any allergies I might have. I agree to disclose any changes in medications to staff before the retreat begins.  If I am on an anti-depressant medication or any substance that is contraindicated with the use of plant medicines, I agree to discontinue it’s use no less then three weeks before the retreat begins.

I further agree to respect the person and property of others, and to abide by the rules of Allpa Mama Healing retreats. I understand that violation of those rules may lead to my expulsion from the retreat without refund.

I agree to stay in the ceremonial space for the duration of the ceremony, and agree to the rules set by ceremonial guides. I will not leave the premise without the consent of the ceremony guide. 

BY SIGNING UP FOR THIS RETREAT, I AGREE THAT I HAVE READ CAREFULLY THIS LIABILITY WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE WITH THEIR CONTENTS.

CANCELATIONS: No refunds for retreats after July 7th. I have to reserve a home and the right amount of medicine, so after this point I will not be refunding cancelled retreats.

Guests will arrive around 4pm in the afternoon. We will have a small snack together, chat and discuss the medicine, and get to know each other. We might go for a small walk, and then rest. We will begin the ceremony around 9:3 pm, and finish with the sunrise. 

We will finish the ceremony with the sunrise, share fruits and have a small group discussion about our experiences. We will rest, have all meals today, and then Katie will give plant baths and energetic cleansings. Dinner and resting. We will be tired after the night up.

We will have a small meditation and yoga session around 7:30. Then, breakfast and group discussion. People are welcome to continue sharing their experiences. We will depart around 10 am.
