Day 1: Welcome to the Heart of Hollis Experience in Ghana!

For early arrivals, take time to rest and recharge at the hotel while I personally help you get acclimated, sharing tips and recommendations. The true highlight of the day is our Welcome Dinner, where I’ll host you for an unforgettable evening. Day 2:  Explore Accra

Today we dive into the heart of Accra. Together we'll explore the powerful legacy at W.E.B. Du Bois Center, feel the energy of Black Star Square, and reflect at the Nkrumah Mausoleum—places that helped me fall in love with Ghana's story. After a lunch featuring local flavors, take time to rest or process. Evening brings a curated night out in Accra's vibrant scene—think amazing music, great drinks, and the kind of spontaneous joy that makes travel magical.

Day 3:  Dancing in the Streets

Get ready to move! We'll start with an intimate drumming and dance class where laughter is guaranteed and two left feet are welcomed. Then, we'll dive into the electric atmosphere of CHALE WOTE Street Festival—a  celebration of art, music, and culture. This isn't just watching from the sidelines; we're talking full immersion in a festival where traditional meets contemporary, where every corner holds a new discovery. Between adventures, we'll refuel with local delicacies that I've specifically chosen to give you a true taste of Ghana.

Day 4:  Travel to Kumasi & Cooking Lesson 

Join me on a journey to Kumasi, the heart of the Ashanti Kingdom. As we travel, we’ll watch the landscape shift and share stories, snacks, and plenty of laughs. When we arrive, the evening promises something truly special—an interactive cooking experience where we’ll dive into recipes steeped in tradition and history. There’s something so beautiful about coming together to cook, letting the rich aromas of Ghanaian cuisine fill the air and set the tone for our time in Kumasi.

Day 5:  Naming Ceremony & Ashanti Traditions 

Dive into the heart of Ashanti culture as we explore Kumasi’s vibrant traditions and historical sites. The day’s highlight is a meaningful and joyous traditional Naming Ceremony, offering a deep connection to local customs and community. We’ll also visit a bustling market, where the lively atmosphere and artistry of the Ashanti people come to life. These experiences of culture and connection often become some of the most cherished moments of the journey.

Day 6: Cape Coast Castle & The Last Bath

Today, we travel to Cape Coast, a place where Ghana’s profound history comes to life. Together, we’ll walk through the solemn halls of Cape Coast Castle and visit Assin Manso’s “Last Bath,” two sites that carry the weight of our shared past and continue to resonate deeply in the present. These are more than historical landmarks—they’re spaces for reflection, connection, and understanding. As we explore, I’ll share how these places have shaped my own journey and hold space for your thoughts and emotions, making this a truly transformative experience.

Day 7: Kakum Canopy & Back to Accra

Wake up to possibilities! Brave souls can join me for an exhilarating walk through Kakum National Park's canopy, suspended in the treetops with views that take your breath away. Rather relax? The serene Cape Coast coastline awaits with its gentle waves and peaceful atmosphere. Later, we'll head back to Accra, sharing highlights from our adventures so far.

Day 8: Free Day

A full free day to follow your heart in Accra. Whether you want to explore markets, revisit favorite spots, or simply relax poolside, I'll point you toward the experiences that call to you. This is your time to process, explore, or simply be. Need recommendations? I know just the places that match your interests.

Day 9: Final exploration & Farewell 

Choose your perfect farewell to Ghana:

• Explore the lush Aburi Gardens, a peaceful retreat from city energ
• Luxuriate poolside at an upscale hotel, soaking in final moments As the sun sets on our journey, we'll gather for an unforgettable farewell dinner—a celebration of our time together and the connections we've made.
