El Quilotoa es un cráter volcánico de 3 km de diámetro situado en la provincia de Cotopaxi. Es conocido por su impresionante laguna con aguas verdes y azules, con una profundidad de hasta 250 m. El volcán Quilotoa es parte de la Reserva Ecologica Los Ilinizas. El recorrido alrededor del lago a lo largo del cráter, que tiene aproximadamente 10 km con ascensos y descensos, es una excelente opción para aclimatarse. Durante a excursión, pasas por el Monte Juyende, que es el punto más alto con una altitud de 3.930 m. Esta travesía completa suele durar entre 4 y 5 horas y ofrece vistas maravillosas del lago y sus cambiantes colores.

DAY 1
Start after breakfast and drive to the QUILOTOA CRATER LAKE, trek along the crater rim (5 - 6 hours), highest elevation Monte Juyende (3.930 m / 12,894 ft). During the hike we admire the breathtaking blue of the lake and wonderful views of the surroundings.
OPTIONAL: only visit of the lagoon, or the village and view points, depending on your preferences.
