In the morning, you’ll be driven to Phedi, which is 40 minutes away from Pokhara. Phedi is the starting point of our hike to Dhampus. Climbing the stone staircase to Dhampus, passing through the rhododendron forest, and reaching the beautiful village of Dhampus. From Dhampus, one can view the peaks of the Annapurna massif with other snow-capped mountains like Machhapuchhre and Lamjung Himal. Leaving Dhampus village, we have a gentle ascent through the rhododendron and oak forest till we reach Pothana.
The stone staircase starts again, and after a short climb, we reach the Australian Base Camp. From here, one can see the Annapurna massif, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Himchuli, and others. In the evening, you can roam the jungles surrounding the camp.
