The Pico da Tijuca hike is the perfect adventure for those looking to explore the interior of Tijuca National Park and be enchanted by the rich biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest. At 1,021 meters high, Pico da Tijuca is the tallest mountain in Tijuca Forest and is situated in the heart of the park. The route is one of the most impressive and beautiful in Rio de Janeiro, starting at the park's entrance gate and following charming trails that lead to the summits of Pico Tijuca Mirim and Pico da Tijuca itself, offering an unforgettable experience.

Bom Retiro
After 1 hour of walking up the trails and roads of Tijuca National Park, we arrive at Largo do Bom Retiro, a reference point for the start of the trails leading to the tallest mountains in the forest.
Summit of Pico da Tijuca
1:30 hours of hiking after Largo do Bom Retiro, we reach the altitude of 1,021 meters at Pico da Tijuca, the highest point in Tijuca National Park.
Tijuca Mirim
During the descent, we will visit the summit of Tijuca Mirim.
Cachoeira das Almas
After a day of hiking, we will take a break for a refreshing swim in the waterfall in the middle of the forest.
