Visit a mystical lake in the crater of a volcano which up to day is used by Mayan people to perform their sacred rituals. The majority of them are inhabitants on San Martín Sacatepéquez and belong to one of the 23 Mam groups in Guatemala. The Mam are modern Mayan people who live in southwestern Guatemala and parts of southern Mexico. At least 500 Mil live in Guatemala. For them, Laguna Chicabal is a sacred and miraculous place – the mystic perception becoming even more convincing because of its shape and the fog that shrouds the volcano. Maya priests perform traditional ceremonies on the shore using candles, flowers and holy crosses. The guide joining you at this unique tour will be a local from Quetzaltenango, or even a local guide from the Chicabal lagoon, and will explain all there is to know about Mayan religion, Mayan culture, and the local plants and animals.

We booked a private car from Antigua to the Guatemala City Airport for a Monday morning. The driver was pleasant, prompt, and skilled at the route. There was the expected traffic all the way there - but luckily Adrenalina had proactively suggested leaving a half hour earlier to insure prompt arrival to the airport for our flight. So we left at 6:40am and got to the airport just after 9am, as we had hoped to. It's only about 24 miles between Antigua and Guatemala City, but we learned that it is typically completely bumper-to-bumper for at least half of that distance, so one needs to allow ample time.

We've planned a overland- trip from Lake Atitlan to lake Peten region by the highlands. After discussion with Patrick and his team, they proposed us a varied and challenging full program for this trip, including well organised transport with english-speaking driver, and activities along the road.  Unexpected events, out of their reach, we're dealt in a responsive and adequate manner.  A perfect way to discover this part of Guatemala with our family of 5 of which 3 teenagers/ young adults.  Besides that we've got a lot of practical information for our stay before and after the trip. Highly recommend !

From the day I started communicating with Patrick, he was fast with his information and suggestions. As soon as he knew what I wanted, he gave me tips on what would be time and cost effective. Even suggesting what would be better as a collective tour as opposed to a private tour.

Before the whole trips/tours all the information, times, prices were sent by mail to check if it was all correct. 

A day before every trip/tour I was contacted with addicional information and could ask questions if needed.
The different drivers were always on time, helpful and got us safely from one destination to the next, not racing to get to the destination. This was important for us, to have a resposible driver.

During the trip Patrick would check if everything was going well. We had some transfers that lasted over 8-10 hours. Flores-Lanquin and Lanquin to Lake Atitlan.

Patrick was always available to answer questions and that was a comforting feeling, that we could reach someone in a foreign country who could actually help and or guide us during the tours.

We (a group of 4 adults) were fortunate ta enjoy the services of Adrenalina tours for almost 2 weeks. We had collective tours, private tours, collective transfers and private transfers. We travelled all over Guatemala and always felt safe.
We all agree that we would recommend their services to anybody who is looking for a reliable and safe company that gives realistic information and suggestions and ultimately help us have an amazing vacation.

This trip was amazing!!!  Tikal has been on my bucket list, and this was everything I hoped it could be, and more!!! Our flight was easy, our driver, Angel, was fantastic, and our tour guide, Jose was exceptional! We were able to explore all of the major sites at Tikal, and he pointed out local birds and wildlife.  A highlight, for me, was climbing two pyramids, and listening to the howler monkies while sitting atop the tallest one!

Robin did such a great job organizing the adventure!  I had confidence in knowing that everything would be taken care of down to the most minute detail!!! I will be traveling with her again in the future!!

Communication was great, they were very accommodating to pickup locations and changing things on the fly as needed (holiday road closures). Drivers were so friendly and got us everywhere on time!

Initially, we had difficulty identifying the driver at the pick up spot, in front of the Santo Tomas Hotel.  This hotel served as the main depot so it was super crowded with travellers, buses and vans.  I contacted the dispatcher and he had me send a selfie and then sent me a picture of the van.  The driver was cheerful, accommodating (stopped for bathroom breaks and snacks), and a good driver through a very windy road.  Diego (dispatcher) with Adrenalina Tours made it easy to book online through We Travel.  He was prompt and efficient.  In fact, I used the same company for a private shuttle from Lanquin to Chichicastenango (10 hours)and I was so impressed, I booked again for this trip.

The transport itself was ok, even though we left with aprox. 45 minutes delay. There was confusion about two passengers, the lady coordinating didn't read the pick up correctly (which was los Encuentros, not Panajachel). 

I have to say that I miss transparency about the drop off point, for people not familiar with El Quiche and how to move around being dropped off at a junction still 45 minutes from Nebaj might be not the best experience. Please indicate clearly the shuttle passes the Mirador de Cunén on its way to Lanquin and drops people heading to Nebaj at the junction with QUI3. Entrada de Nebaj Is not helpful.

Price of 60$ is also too high, in my opinion, to go to Lanquin is about the same and you get dropped halfway.

Perfect! Santiago was waiting for us with my name on a sign as we exited the airport in Guatemala City for our private shuttle to Antigua. The van was spacious and comfortable. Santiago was great, helped us with our bags, and even stopped at an ATM for us when we asked. I would definitely use this agency again on a return trip. Thank you!

If it is raining, your luggage on the roof might or might not be soaked. The clutch snapped half a block from the passenger pickup spot, but the team quickly had us in taxis until we entered belize and switched to a 2005 dodge caravan.  it only slowed us down 10 minutes...so...hooray for their professionalism, not sure I would have picked this service if I realized how old and poorly maintained the vehicles are.

I found Adrenalina on one of the travel apps while looking to transport my family in different areas of Guatemala. I wanted this to be good experience for them so they can return. William our driver from Xela to San Antonio Palopo and was great friendly knowledgeable and he’s driving was safe which was very important for our family. We also used them again from San Antonio to Antigua. The driver was good too. As visitors our main focus is safety for us and our families and I think you can’t put a prince on that. It can be pricey if you have a private transport, but they also offer shared ride. We opted for private. Thank you Adrenalina I will be back 😊
