Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, we will be met by our escorts and travel to our hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight. 

After breakfast, we will start our pilgrimage in the Holy Land in Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed the first miracle, turning water into wine. We will offer the opportunity for renewal of wedding vows. Then we will travel to Mount Tabor where we will take taxis to the top of the mountain to visit the Franciscan church that commemorates the Transfiguration. In the afternoon, we will return to Nazareth and visit the Fountain of Mary and the Basilica of the Annunciation. We will celebrate our first Mass in the Holy Land in the Basilica of the Annunciation. Back to the hotel in Nazareth for Dinner and overnight. 

Today we enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee before driving to the northern end of the Sea to visit the village of Capernaum at the site where Peter lived and Jesus performed much of his ministry. Here we visit an ancient synagogue, and a first century house and Byzantine Church which are now located under a modern Franciscan Church. Then we continue up the hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee to the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes where we have time for private prayer in the gardens, overlooking the sea. We continue with a visit to the Jordan River and reflect on Jesus' baptism by John and renew your baptismal promises. Finally, we return to our hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight. 

This morning we leave Nazareth and drive to Caesarea, built by Herod as a major seaport at the time of Christ and was later occupied during the Byzantine and Crusader periods, containing ruins from all of these periods. Then we continue to Haifa, a modern seaport which is situated on the slopes of Mt. Carmel to see the mountain of Elijah, where we will visit Elijah's cave and the cradle of the Carmelite Order at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. We make our check-in at our hotel in Bethlehem. 

On the first day in Bethlehem, we visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd's Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Then we drive to Jerusalem to the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St John the Baptist and to the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the 'Magnificat'. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem. 

We begin our day on the Mt. of Olives, then we visit the Pater Noster with the Lord’s Prayer in many languages, and then the Church of the Ascension. We make a stop at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Next we drive down to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest. Then we visit the cave of betrayal and the Church of the Assumption. We will drive through the Kedron Valley to St. Peter in Galicantu where Peter denied Jesus. At the Cenacle we visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem. 

Early in the morning we retrace the last steps of Jesus as we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross, reflecting on the greatness of His sacrifice. Finally, we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus died and rose. We return to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem. 

We begin our day with a visit to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Then we drive to the desert east of Jerusalem. Just off the Roman road that Jesus 'walked', is Wadi Qelt Gorge, site of the Monastery of St George.  At the oasis town of Jericho, we visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties.
