On Day 2, after relaxing and brunchin' bourgeoisie style at NOK by Alara, we will become true Lagosians! The oh so popular yellow tuk-tuk! - affectionately called the "keke" will be our transportation to explore and appreciate the arts and culture of prominent nigerian artists. Lagosians wear multiple hats, and creatives shine best in this city. We will be partnering with Naija Nomads  in their "Keke Experience" to visit the Nike Art Gallery, Freedom Park & many other creative scenes in Lagos.  By the end of this tour you will understand why so many foreign artists, Beyonce included gain inspiration from the Lagos Arts & Culture 

Now that you have had a chance to relax & get adjusted, Lagosian style, it's time to turn up the tempo! 

We will start the morning off getting our adrenaline running with "Zanku Zumba!" at our luxury apartment (Zanku is the reigning dance in Nigeria). 

Our private chef will  then give us a taste of the authentic Nigerian breakfast to help us regain our carbs!

We will then head over to the Lekki Conservation Centre to climb Africa's longest Canopy Walk! 

The adventure doesn't stop there! 

We will head over to the mainland lagos to indulge in the King of Afrobeats, Fela. Yep you guessed it! We will take a tour of the Kalakuta Museum and hang out at the Shrine, the popular location for most, if not all of Fela's local shows 

We are headed to Badagry today. In this humbling excursion we will reconnect with our roots through an invaluable experience at the "point of no return". It is important to know our history so someone else won't tell our story for us.

After we return to Lagos, you will have flex time. Time you can spend to rest, get your hair braided ($17 braiding, hello ladies!), or visit a recommended location based on your interests (at your own discretion) 

The Chrisimas Day festivities is popular in Lagos.

In the morning we will host an optional give back excursion. We will go to the Makoko village - the village on water, take a tour and also hang out with some families in the communities, and give their children Christmas toys. 

Later in the afternoon, we will take a private boat to Tarkwa Bay and soak in some sun, dance, and enjoy the rest of the festive day. 

It's our last day in Lagos so we will end it with a bang! Literally - Bangers or Fireworks are popular during the festive period, so we will watch fireworks and reminisce on our incomparable experience in  "Gidi".

We're saying goodbye to the Super Eagle and hello to the Black Star! On this day we will take a one hour flight to Accra, Ghana. We will get settled into our villa & grab some food & take a bus tour around Accra to get acquainted with our surroundings and also explore the markets! 

There's a reason why accra is called the Black Mecca! Not only will we explore the Cape Coast Castle and experience another humbling "point of no return" at the Cape Coast Castle,  we will explore other districts including Jamestown, one of Accra's districts known for its colonial relics and the colorful lighthouse. We will also visit the market to get our hands on some kente cloth and other cultural pieces unique to Accra. Get ready for an Arts, Culture, and History Experience like no other! Have your camera ready! 

 Afrochella, get ready for all the vibessss! We will spend our time becoming ministers of enjoyment in the Afrobeats capital of the world! Put on your danging shoes and get ready to rock the day (& night)  away.

We are keeping the momentum going!  It’s all things Mother Nature in Mama Africa today! After breakfast we’ll begin our road trip in our private transfer to Aburi and Akosombo. The serene Botonical Gardens, Coneoing in Lake Volta, and quad biking in the Aburi forests, it’s that kind of day!
