Have some riding experience? Want to explore the national park deeper than any tourist has, alongside Cuban cowboys and endless views? You’re in the right place!
We’re now offering extended horse riding experiences. About 7 hours in total, you’ll want a full day for this hands-on and unique experience. We include a creole lunch cooked in our family home (no tourists whatsoever!), a cigar to smoke along the way, an exploration of our tobacco farm and drying house, and a lesson in how the farmers roll their infamous cigars. You’ll learn about and taste some more local products, before getting back on the horses for some real riding time.
We’ll explore the entirety of the Palmarito valley (including a hidden cave), before heading up the river bed to find the very source. The views are simply spectacular, the trails are non-existent (we’re going off-piste!) and the memories made will be priceless.
Experience required: it’s not a particularly challenging ride, but some horse riding experience will be necessary due to the amount of it.
