My wife and I did the two day Inca Trail in May 2025 with Alfredo, and he was a great guide. Highly recommended! Because another couple had to drop out of the tour at the last minute, we had a private tour with him. He is very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area, especially local birds, and he was willing to go at our pace during the Inca Trail hike. This was especially helpful for me, as I am not at my fittest after a difficult year at work. As someone who is physically able but not especially fit, I found the two-day Inca Trail to be a great option. The first day, when most of the hiking took place, was well-paced and well worth the effort. Alfredo offered to take pictures of me and my wife, including at several stunning viewpoints along the trail, which was a nice touch. We recommend this hike for anyone who doesn't have sufficient time to do the full four or five day Inca Trail hike. It is much better to do the two day trek than simply visit Machu Picchu for a day, for two reasons. First, you get to visit Machu Picchu two days in a row, which increases your chances that at least one of those days will not be rained out. Second, the views along the Inca Trail are truly breathtaking and well-worth the effort, and the Sun Gate entrance to Machu Picchu is worth the hike by itself. If you are on the fence about taking a tour with Alfredo, do it. We were very happy with our experience and we were in very capable hands with Alfredo. He had all of our paperwork in order and is clearly an experienced and expert guide!

I absolutely loved doing the Lares Trek and Short Inca Trail! it was a life experience. the views, the mountains, the trekking, it was absolutely amazing! I would do it again! it is a alternative to the Classic Inca Trail! We really loved our guide, Alfredo, who explained us a lot about the Inca's history and was always very kind and attentive to everyone's in the group. We was always behind the last trekker, he didn't leave anyone behind. That was really really attentive of him! The rest of the group who accompanied us was also very kind! Flávio cooked amazing!!!! This was one of the best parts, his food was absolutely delicious, I don't even know how he managed to cook such food in the middle of the mountains! It was impressive! I have no bad remarks to appoint. I loved everything! The only thing that is quite sad to see is the donkeys carrying everything in the trekking! But even so, the donkeys were really well taken care of, you could see that they rest, are well fed and that is a relief if you like animals. Thanks to the whole crew for this amazing amazing trip!

My family and I had a wonderful time with the Wari group. Everyone was punctual and excellent with accommodating our range of ages and activeness. Erlin was amazing in his storytelling of Machu Picchu and recommendation of eats. Alfredo was so patient with my whole family on Rainbow mountain as it was a harder task than we thought. Overall, I'd definitely recommend for a short or long tour as they can cater to all types and needs.
