About this trip

Discover one of the most stunning natural destinations in the Cordillera Blanca with our tour to Llanganuco Lagoon from Huaraz. On this journey, we will explore Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and historical sites that contribute to the cultural and natural richness of the Callejón de Huaylas.

We will visit Carhuaz, Yungay, and Huascarán National Park, as well as experience the artisanal traditions of Taricá. It is an ideal experience for enjoying the nature, history, and culture of the Peruvian Andes all in a single day.

Departure from Huaraz

09:00 | We will begin our tour from the city of Huaraz in a tourist vehicle, heading toward the Callejón de Huaylas, one of the most scenic areas in the Áncash region.

Carhuaz: Tasting natural ice cream

We will make a brief stop in the town of Carhuaz, famous for its delicious ice cream made using traditional methods and fresh local fruits. We will have time to taste and enjoy this traditional local specialty.

Yungay and Campo Santo

We will continue to Yungay to visit the Campo Santo (Memorial Site), a historic location affected by the devastating avalanche that occurred on May 31, 1970.

Huascarán National Park – Chinancocha

We will enter Huascarán National Park to reach Chinancocha Lagoon, popularly known as Llanganuco Lagoon.

Visitors can go boating, walk along nearby trails, and take photographs.

During this time, we will also have the opportunity to taste traditional regional dishes for lunch (at the visitor's own expense).

Taricá: Traditional handicrafts

On our return journey, we will visit Taricá, a town renowned for its handicraft traditions. We will see demonstrations of clay and textile crafting, appreciating the work of local artisans and the techniques passed down through generations.

Arrival in Huaraz

7:30 PM | We conclude our tour by returning to the city of Huaraz. The arrival time is approximate and may vary depending on traffic and weather conditions.
