Day by day Summary of the Huchuy Qosqo Trek

Day 1: Cusco - Tambomachay - Pukamarca.- Depart from Cusco at 7:00 am and drive for 20 minutes towards the archaeological site of Tambomachay. The hike takes 7 hours to the campsite at Pukamarca Village (3800m/12,467ft), passing through local communities, beautiful mountain lakes, vast grassland where llamas and alpacas feed.

Day 2: Pukamarca - Huchuy Qosqo - Aguas Calientes.- After breakfast, hike for 1-hour to Huchuy Qosqo Inca City, located on top of the Sacred Valley, offering magnificent views. After exploring, head downhill for 2 hours to Lamay for a special Pachamanca barbecue lunch. Take the Afternoon train to Aguas Caliente and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 3: Discover Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco.- On the final day, take the early buses up to Machu Picchu and explore the Inca citadel with your tour guide. After the 3-4 hours guided tour, have time to hike Huayna Picchu or Montaña (optional). Afternoon Vistadome panoramic train back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 7.30 pm.
