Our Vegas trip was so enjoyable!!  The group was very nice, four nights in a smoke free casino was a plus, great weather, our sightseeing venues were so neat…especially flying over the Grand Canyon and the shows, Cirque du Soleil and The Wizard of Oz were exceptional!  Another nice addition was our new, fun, capable guide.  A great time!

Nevada's Natural Side

This trip was spectacular.. the weather threatened to impact our activities but did not. Everyone was welcoming. Tour director was conscientious of everyone's needs. Hotel accommodations were above expectations as were the restaurants. Everything was well planned out and overall the trip was the best I have had.

Oregon’s Coastal Treasures: From Astoria to Yachats

This was my first time using Oregon West Excursions. I  had a wonderful time. Our tour director was the best.
Like many seniors I have mobility issues. I did quite well and when needed there was a helping hand.
I am excited to go on another adventure with  this  great team of people.

A very good trip!  I really enjoyed the mix of spending time in the natural environment of Nevada and experiencing the entertainment on the Vegas Strip.  Karen our tour guide was positive and professional in handling the travel glitches that arose. She was very enjoyable to travel with. 

Great, especially KA & sphere. Grand canyon airplane ride was somewhat disappointing.  Overcast sky & barely saw any canyon. Mostly river.

 


Great tour director.  Many fun activities,  but way too much food. Would rather see the area than spend 3 hours eating.

I had a great time!  Ed (the guide) did a great job with an ambitious schedule, and it was a plus that he spoke Italian.  He really took good care of us.  The four days in Rome were a perfect amount of time.  Also, the night tour in golf carts was a great addition.  And, the upgrade to Premium Plus for the international flights was worth every penny.  Just a couple of observations:  If there is a plan to visit a larger city, there really isn't enough time to add a smaller town to the schedule on the same day.  Also, it was difficult to visit two smaller towns and a winery in the same day, but two smaller towns in one day seemed to work out.  There is too much to see in Florence in only one day.  When you have 16 women on a tour, there should also be enough time for some shopping.  I had been to Venice before but it would have been nice to have more time there.  It was great to have the hotel actually in Venice.  Although the villa in Tuscany was amazing, it was way too much driving to get to the other cities and the distance took away from the time spent in those locations...not to mention the curvy roads there and back.  But, I was very impressed with the amazing restaurants in such an isolated location.  In fact, all of the restaurants on the trip were amazing.  I am so glad I went on this trip and met some wonderful people.

Italy Adventure: Rome, Tuscany, and Venice

This was a wonderful experience.  Food and accommodations were stellar. 

The trip was wonderful. We were busy the first half (lots to see) but things were slower pace the second half. It was a good mix. Tuscany was beautiful.  The Villa was spectacular (views and accommodations).  The group of people on the tour were so fun.  Could not ask for better travel companions.  


This trip was amazing and I would highly recommend it.  I hope you do the same trip again, next year.

Ed was the perfect leader for this trip.  He could speak the language and I can't imagine doing this type of tour without speaking their language.  Ed was always cheerful and kind to all of us.  I can't say enough good about him!!  

His (and your) scheduling was perfect.  We always got to where we needed to be on the right time and our city tour guides were always right on time, too.  

The villa was beautiful and a wonderful experience, but it was quite a distance from the cities that we visited.  It worked OK, though.  

If possible, it would be nice to have a more direct flight.  It took a very long time to get home.  

All in all, it was a fabulous trip.  You all did a great job!!

It was a fabulous trip!!  We got to see so many incredible sights.  Ed does a SUPERIOR job of leading the group.  His fluent Italian makes all of the difference.  He is so good about checking in with everyone to see that they are OK and having a good time.  He is always in a good mood, and just makes it fun.

It would have been nice to have had direct flights home from Venice.  Made for a LONG day.

And the private Villa was so beautiful - but driving for 2 hr to see some place - like Florence - makes for a LONG day in the bus, with 2 hr there, and 2 hr back. 

Beautiful drive, interesting museums, relaxed schedules and excellent tour leader/driver (Carrie). An enjoyable excursion for Fall colors as well as gaining an appreciation of Oregon’s fascinating history. Great trip!

Columbia Gorge Harvest Spectacular

The transportation vehicle was very nice. Our guide was nice and gave us great historical stories. We were fed very well and accommodations were nice. Loved the various points of interest we stopped at. I had the opportunity to fly on a bi/plane. This trip kept us very busy. 

Good tour! It was very enjoyable. Lots of great scenery and most of the "events" were interesting and well-organized.  My fellow travelers were warm and welcoming. (Most seemed to know each other from other trips.) Tour leaders were great...thanks Tom and Joan!

Golden Leaves & Granite Peaks: A New England Tour

Another great trip. Good food, lodging and traveling companions.  Tom did excellent job of handling every aspect of trip.

It was a beautiful trip through two of my most favorite states.  I've traveled both many times, but never in the fall.  What a feast for the eyes!

Tom and Joan were exceptional leaders for our group.  They took very good care of us.  Tom handled the confusion when our coach was leaking fluid and was limping back to the hotel and we were going to be late for a dinner reservation.  Tom is a hero!! He stayed very calm, at least on the outside as he tried to figure out what to do.

Sadly, there are some cons.

This falls on the coach and driver:
Coach was not clean ( there was gum and trash on the floor when we first boarded and there it remained) no cup holders for our drinks ( a complaint from many)  Our driver, however, was an excellent operator!
We are spoiled travelers.  😊

I am curious why we did not tour the Von Trapp property when it was so near Stowe?

I am also wondering why we went to 3 apple orchards.

All in all it was a good trip with many old and new friends!!

The Fall Foliage trip was great.  We enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery and the Cog Railway was a first for us.  It was fantastic!  The Omni Resort Resort was like going back in time with “the rich and famous”.  It would have been nice to have free time there to relax and enjoy it.

Wallowa Fall Foliage and Alpenfest Signature Excursion

I have many fond memories of my trip to the east coast to see the colorful leaves.  Besides seeing the eastern countryside, we stayed two nights at a very nice resort, enjoyed a train ride, a cog train ride (my favorite), dinner cruises plus our guides, Tom and Joan, were helpful, knowledgeable and fun to be with.

We had a good time and Tom and Joan were wonderful guides.  The Cog Train and the hotel at Mt. Washington were great.  The bus and driver  and several of the lunches left a lot to be desired.  Not being a shopper, I felt a couple of days we just went from gift shop to gift shop instead of  having a tour or at least a short talk about what we were seeing at the venues.  I think there were some other Venues in the area that would have been interesting.  See the email I sent for more details.

Had a wonderful time.. The stay at the Omni Mt Washington resort was amazing! Beautiful location and meals . The setting was so beautiful with the fall colors.  Did the cog railroad which was wonderful also.  Tour director Tom was his usual fantastic self, and his better half Joan was such a delightful addition.

Discomfort caused by poor seating in van, poor quality lodging including lack of elevators (excused somewhat for the lodge built in 1923). Eating outside in cold conditions. Generally a disappointing trip that I won’t repeat. 

 The  itinerary for this trip needed to be proof read for sites being open and closed. Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain incline, rock City Gardens were great!    
Tom needs to give us enough time for group dinners so we can enjoy everything and not be rushed.
The sandwich choices were nothing like you sent out for that day.  They were not good!  Not a slider like I ordered.

The Biltmore Estate and gardens were amazing!  We should have come home on Tuesday morning instead of Monday night, made that flight by the skin of our teeth.  Lots of traffic.

Nashville, Pigeon Forge & The Biltmore

Enjoyed the trip.  Wonderful to travel with such nice folks.  Sites were great. Accommodations comfortable. 
I was surprised we did not stick to the stated itinerary some days.  Would have been helpful to have an updated itinerary before we left home.  Departure from PDX uneventful but departure from Nashville a nightmare.

This was a great trip except for the show on the water in the boats.  It was very uncomfortable siting in the chairs, It was all in Spanish and hard to see!  I couldn't wait for the night to be over.  The  Day OF THE Dead Parade was very fun to watch. Loved all of the colors and the people.

It was a very wonderful trip, great food, and motels were very accommadating.

Had a wonderful time. Tom and Joan were great tour guides. They were able to let us know what we were going to see, but also able to switch to plan B when it was necessary. I would enjoy traveling with them again sometime.
Also a great job shout out to our bus driver Randy. He added to the trip immensely.

We had a great time,  lots of history, landmarks and wonderful people that we met an reconnected with. Always too much food and busy schedule.  One thing I would have you consider is no flying out or back home on Mondays 

Our tour directors and driver were great.  Prepared and knowledgeable all the way through.  I was impressed with the number of people who were repeats of your tours.  They are well planned and you have no concerns along the way.  I truly enjoyed my visit to Tennessee and based on this trip have booked another trip already.

We had a great first tour with Oregon West Excursions and Tom D. as we traveled to see Glacier National Park and all the sights in between. If you love good food, seeing great sights and meeting wonderful people, this tour group is for you. Accommodations were almost perfect except the smokiness of the one night casino stop. Thank you also for our bus driver Nik. His regard to our safety is much appreciated.

Grand Glacier Excursion

It was an interesting experience of glacier national park! I would prefer having more lunch on our own since most of us seniors don’t eat 3 meals a day. I personally have one meal, coffee w/toast in the morning & a fruit or something light for lunch! I just felt we wasted a lot of food we couldn’t finish!! 

Was a lot to see in a “short” time!  Sometimes I felt rushed by the schedule, and I am in good shape physically.   Mostly wonderful great fellow travelers.  I was frustrated with the long waits for the Italian dinner.  OVER 1 & 1/2 hrs!  And we had preordered at 11 that morning.  Also at Anthony’s it took way too long to get our meal.  
Tom & bus driver were amazing.  They handled every situation as if NO big deal.  Tom kept that smile on his face & the driver was excellent!! 
I don’t like not knowing the next day schedule until the evening before.  I realize Tom probably doesn’t want to repeat it 5 times, but I like to be prepared!!  
I think your descriptions of the days need to include a little more “time” references.  And more detail about the physical activity expected of the travelers.

What an amazing trip!  It was my first time with Tom as well as my first solo trip, and I had  a wonderful time. Everyone was friendly and helpful.  Everything was great.  My only complaint is that when you are pointing out things, please don't preface with " you probably already know this...some of us have not had extensive travel experiences 

I had a great time except for the ride on the Red Bus!  The scenery was great, but it was too cramped and no leg room!  It was great to see and experience all the places but, I always felt rushed on a time table!

My dream trip thru Glacier Park!! I got to ride a RED BUS! I really like the bits of history and trivia that Tom gives along the way-I always learn something.  I appreciate that there is no (to me) annoying background music.  The Davenport Hotel was a wonderful experience and I liked having time to explore riverfront Spokane a bit.  Sorry that we had to rush the pizza stop-it looked like they had made a big effort for us.  Good food at all dinners.  The dinner cruise was worth it, even if it was a bit late.
Nicholi (sp?) and his crew went the extra mile to make sure we got home safely, and I was very happy with his driving and patience getting us on and off the bus safely.  I will definitely go on more trips with Tom as leader.

We had a great time!! The red bus tour was so nice.. it was a perfectly enjoyable trip.  Our tour director, Tom, was great at narrating the area we were in..

This trip was the best ever! So many fun activities, great hotels and excellent meals. Our tour director was super-efficient and very friendly, and our driver always gave us a smooth ride and made us feel very safe. We will definitely travel with Oregon West again.


I had a great time.  The accommodations were excellent.  Really enjoyed the variety of things to see and do. Great tour guide.

Basque-ing in Boise & Beyond

 My enjoyable 8 day coach trip to Boise for the Basque Festival was filled with such diverse venues, good guides, a delightful group and fond memories.  The coach driver was very good and fun to be around and Joan and Tom did a great job being our tour guides.
Despite the fact it was HOT, I had such a nice time!

It was a great trip with a good itinerary.  But, too much food, with huge portions (no senior sizes) in extremely noisy, restaurants with loud music, & for some of the restaurants, very dark rooms with tables that had chairs so  close to the tables & the walls that they were hard to squeeze into, even for a fairly thin person like me.  Forget gettiing up to go to the restroom!! 

But the rest was great.  Good hotels except for Pendleton.  Loved the Geiser Grand in Baker City.  It had a huge dining room just for us, no noise, no loud music, the best food of the trip!  And, the rooms were huge, light & comfortable.
The Basque Festival was a true once-in-a-lifetime event!  Loved Boise...Basque Museum, the long river walk, & all the trees at the hotel around the poo, & the Botanical Garden!

I had a great tune. Great food, great entertainment.  The hist ( Tom and Joan) were great and was able to keep everything straight.  I highly recommend Oregon West for your next trip.

Wonderful.  Carrie was helpful to everyone. It was a great day!

In a Landscape: Portland Rose Garden

I had a really great time, amazing lunch, and roses all in their fragrant glory. Evening concert, and our guide was outstanding. So wonderful to be able to just attend these trips and all the planning is done. No worries. I just get to enjoy every minute of the adventure!

Enjoyed going with a smaller group and in a van. Got to know the other travelers better.  The steps in and out of the van were a little tricky for me.  Ed Hillyer did a great job of driving and tour guide.  Don't know how he did it but was very congenial and took care of us. I wondered about the stay at Mt.Hood Hotel, as harder to find parking close to the hotel, but the charm of the older hotel was special in the old town, and the breakfast there was my favorite.  Loved the two nights at Timberline Lodge, topped off the trip.  All in all enjoyed the places we stopped and ate at.  Probably could have had more time at the Air/car museum but needed to get to the train ride.   All in all squeezed in a lot of interesting stops and HAPPY I went on this tour.  You do a good job of planning.

Mount Hood Scenic Railway Signature Excursion

This was a great trip to get to see so much of the beauty of the state of Oregon.  There were some hicups with the trip that were unexpected by the guide, but he did well in trying to keep us on schedule. The bus driver was very skilled in handling the bus.  I feel the trip to Jacksonville was a wasted day. I would much rather have stayed in Ashton and had a shopping morning in that town.  I did not like the choice of hotel in Ashton at all. Much below standard or where I would have ever paid to stay.  Meals were great.  We never did get much time to explore shops or have an afternoon just to rest.  It was a fast paced trip. 

Circle Oregon

Trip was way too much walking and stairs.  Not represented properly. Amazing sights and loved seeing everything. Too much pasta/Italian meals. Some of group decided not to attend last one as it was too much. Plays were highlight!!!! Guide did not keep track of group.  Hard to keep track of him in busy NYC. Frustrating at times. He expected more out of us.
