Southeastern Wisconsin’s Intentionally Outdoors invites you on a journey to reconnect with nature, led by Gwen, a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. These guided Forest Therapy walks, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or forest bathing, offer sensory immersions through a series of mindful interactions with nature. The experience is designed to ease the mind and rejuvenate the spirit with the sounds, sights, and scents of the natural world. Gwen offers public walks, private walks and retreats.

This retreat was so wonderful! It was even more special than I expected, with so much connection to the land, nature, sun, and stars. There are so many plants & trees to see, feel and observe closely. We had a great experience wading slowly in the spring fed creek barefoot. The freshness of the water, air and land was so important to my inner self. It was so great to have local organic food prepared fresh for all meals, and flavored with hand picked herbs! So full of flavor and aromatic! Gwen filled the days with special moments to connect with the area, and each other. It was well planned with such special, mind-full moments together and reflections solo, too. The rejuvenated feelings came back on my return home.

It was great! So refreshing and mindful. Wonderful food, atmosphere, connection, and movement. Special spring inner growth.

Nourishing, beautiful, meaningful, thought-provoking, rejuvenating, and lovely! Amber and Gwen clearly put so much heart and intention into the creation of this special retreat. The Shalom House was so inviting and set up beautifully for a full day of connection to nature, body, mind, and spirit. Some of my favorite experiences of the day included the guided forest therapy walk (this was my very first experience with forest therapy and wow, it was so special!), the delicious, lovingly prepared vegan lunch, and the opportunity to connect throughout the day in a community space with kind, like-minded women. I look forward to future retreats!
