“If I didn't define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people's fantasies for me and eaten alive.” ― Audre Lorde

Why join this workshop?

-  Acquire fresh perspectives

-  Feel empowered having discovered new information about yourself
-  Refresh and recalibrate your core values
-  Increase the positive impact you could have in the world

About this workshop.

A playful self-enquiry workshop for those wanting to explore their relationship with femininity, sex, and self-image. Led by a team of mentors and coaches, we'll start to challenge pre-conceived ideas of what it means to be a ‘Queer Womxn’ in 2021 and explore ways to nurture our feminine sensitivity through compassionate self-inquiry. We’ll be introducing new teachings and tools for bringing about more awareness and intimacy when engaging with oneself and others.

Questions we'll be looking at:

What does it mean to be a ‘Queer Womxn’ in today’s society? How does it feel to inhabit this female body?  What are the societal norms and pressures that surround femininity, and how can we face these challenges? Do I give myself permission to be and create who I am? Who would I be if there were no rules? What could my relationship with myself look and feel like? For those perhaps wanting to invite change into their daily lives, organisations, and communities, how can we create more space for vulnerability, intimacy and self-love?

We want you to feel empowered with the new information you’re going to uncover and leave with actionable steps towards taking more control of your own life.

You will take part in various creative and interactive workshops, and we’ll be encouraging you to use your mind and body to discover brand new perspectives about yourself.

The tools we’ll use:

We'll be incorporating tried and tested practices such as journaling, group sharing, self-enquiry, breath-work and meditation. These will be interspersed with key teachings and coaching techniques.

Please note:

This workshop is open to anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ but we will be focusing on embodying our femininity through the perspective and experiences of Queer Womxn. We'd like to reassure and reaffirm to anyone who is Trans or Non-Binary that you are welcome and that this space is yours too.

About our approach.

We offer a safe space to get curious, open up and discuss with others, aspects of your life you’re finding challenging or simply want to improve. Naturally it is a completely confidential space, where individuals can openly share their feelings and thoughts with the option of anonymity.

Your safety comes first.

Your safety is our main priority. For this reason, we may need to ask participants for some personal medical information, before we can confirm your place on the workshop. These are standard questions, there to protect your safety and everyone else involved. This information will only be shared on a need to know basis and will be GDPR compliant. We will also be undertaking other necessary safety measures, during and post-retreat.

We would highly recommend individuals with concerns relating to pre-existing mental health conditions, substance misuse and related disorders to seek immediate professional help.
