Be sure not to miss: the mythology and history meet in Scilla, protruding towards the Messina Strait,  with its Ruffo Castle dominating, Bova (site of the ruin of a Norman Castle), Condofuri, Gallicianò, Roccaforte del Greco, and Roghudi display traces of the Magna Graecia culture. The ancient village of Brancaleone Superiore also features the ruins of a castle and of the Church of the Madonna dell'Annunziata. Along the main road of Stati, in the district of Batia, are the remains of the Norman-Byzantine Abbey of Santa Maria di Tridetti. The sacred and archival heritage is preserved in the Angelo Versace Museum in Bagnara Calabra, with an interesting archaeological section. Be sure not to miss the Saracen Tower in Bagnara, or the precious archaeological remains of the Marasà and Greek Temples in Locri. The Cattolica of Stilo is an imposing byzantine church that dominates the Medieval Center. Meanwhile, Gioia Tauro, once Matauros, comprises an archaeological area and an archaic necropolis in the district of Pietra and some of the villages of the area are characterized by Medieval hamlets and noble palaces, like Oppido Mamertina in Scido, housing the Civiltà Contadina (Peasant Society) Museum.

It worth a visit to the most recent symbol, and immediately iconic of Reggio Calabria is represented by a pair of warriors, two ancient bronze statues 2,500 years old: the Riace Bronzes. They found them in the '70s in the sea near the city: they were together and practically intact. An authentic miracle, if it were not that in Reggio Calabria, something in the air that you breathe always calls you to refer to the past. The ideal destination for a dive  in the beauty of Magna Graecia.

Don't miss to visit Reggio Cathedral, the ornate church is the most significant religious building in the region and is located in the Piazza del Duomo. Built in 1928, this is a relatively modern structure compared to some of the other ancient buildings of Italy, but it does feature a classic Neo Romanesque design. The front facade is made from cream stone and marble and has four decorative columns topped with small domed towers. The interior is framed by a series of imposing exposed stone columns and features a swathe of religious artefacts including a column piece from the Miracle of St. Paul.

You may visit the Bergamot Museum housed in Reggio's former covered market, this museum, which opened in 2018, showcases the interesting 300-year-old history of the region's bergamot growing industry. The zesty citrus fruit is grown almost exclusively in the Reggio and Aspromonte area. Sample the essential oils and bergamot-infused teas before trying bergamotto gelato.

It's worth a visit for the excellent views from the towers of Aragonese Castle. Only two towers, restored in 2000, remain of the Aragonese Castle damaged by earthquake and partially demolished in 1922. Located in the centre of Reggio Calabria, the castle is one of the main icons of the city and due to the relative low-rise buildings, can be seen virtually anywhere in the surrounding vicinity.

Have a walk to the Monument of Athena, located in the centre of the beach promenade, this monument is an icon of the city and stands proudly at the edge of a purposefully built promenade. Standing next to the statue you are given fantastic views of the straight of Messina whilst behind the statue is a fantastic public amphitheatre.

Tropea has been named Top Italian ‘Borgo’ for 2021. Tropea is famous for its exquisite turquoise hues and clarity along with its white, sandy shores.This splendid setting lies within the Provice of Vibo Valentia, along the Coast of the Gods, also known as the Costa Bella for its inspiring panoramas and for its vicinity to the splendid Aeolian Islands. Facing the Tyrrhennian Sea, Tropea, in fact, is one of the most enchanting spots on the Calabrian coast. Be sure to take a look at the many 17th- and 18th-Century palazzi in the city center, especially those grouped between the narrow but gracious Via Boiano and Largo Galluppi. Among the Baroque edifices is the Church of San Demetrio, featuring an exquisite 1300s chapel inside.

Tropea is famous for its many beaches and considered the best seaside resort in Calabria, which attract several tourists during the summer months. Tropea is located on a reef in the gulf of St. Euphemia and is connected to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The town offers dramatic views in the region and its stretch of coastline is known as Coast of the Gods. The historic center of the town is located on top of the cliffs, looking over to the sea. This part of the town is located high up on a cliff and is characterized by a maze of narrow winding streets and lanes. There are traces here and there of the old walls which had once been built to protect the town. There are several old houses and palazzi which are painted in pastel colors and are beautiful to look at.  Do not miss to visit ne of the most important religious places: the main Duomo or the cathedral of Tropea. The Norman cathedral is also one of the most interesting buildings in the town, known for its impressive architecture. Inside the cathedral are various beautiful decorations and impressive art works, and the Santa Maria dell’Isola,  located on the top of a hill looking over the sea. The monastery is quite large and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The monastery has impressive architecture and has been recently renovated.

No doubt that the crystalline waters and white sand are Tropea’s calling card, catering to those in search of summertime relaxation, as well as to those wanting to explore its fascinating underwater world, replete with numerous fish species. Aboveground, citrus and olive groves, and vineyards abound throughout the entire zone, serving as charming backdrop. There are many places to shop in Tropea, most of those along the beach sell typical tourist souvenirs and locally made beach wear. Il Faro Presepi on Via Stazione as well as some of the other shops in the older section have some beautiful souvenirs like nativity scenes, local art works and several other interesting objects and gift items. Also, a trip to the gorgeous Aeolian Islands taking a mini-cruise heading to this UNESCO Site, from Tropea, is unmissable. Don't forget the sweet red Tropean onions, the hot red peppers, the sweet almond milk (latte di Mandorla), Tartufo di Pizzo, a round sphere of hazelnut and vanilla ice cream dusted with cocoa powder.

If you want to enjoy the spectacular views then go to the rocky Capo Vaticano, at about 7 km south of Tropea, with its beaches, ravines and limestone sea cliffs. There's a lighthouse, built in 1885, which is close to a short footpath from where you can see as far as the Aeolian Islands. Capo Vaticano beach is one of the balmiest along this coast.

A visit to Santa Maria dell’Isola, Tropea's number-one photo option, the medieval monastic church given several facelifts over centuries of wear and tear (mainly attributable to earthquakes). Sitting on what was once its own rocky little island, it's now joined to the mainland by a causeway created by centuries of silt, and is reached via a flight of steps up the cliff face. Access to the church is free, but to visit the small museum and garden you have to pay a small entrance fee ticket.

If you wish to learn more about Cosenza's history, take time to visit the Museo dei Brettii e degli Enotri, the archaeological museum displays finds from the Bronze Age Enotri culture, and the Brettii people who founded Cosenza in the 4th century BC. The permanent collection also includes votive offerings and other artefacts from Hellenistic and Roman times.

Or to discover the Caruso Tessiture, an old town shop is the Cosenza retail showcase for the traditional Armenian-style carpets and tapestries created on Domenico Caruso's historic looms  – some dating back to the 16th century – based in the mountain town of San Giovanni di Fiore in the Sila National Park. Other more contemporary designs available include purses and handbags.

In the morning, after the breakfast, drive on your own to Lamezia Terme to drop-off the rental car. Private transfer from the drop-off point to train station in Lamezia Terme. Train from Lamezia Terme to Naples. Upon arrival at the train station of Naples private transfer from the train station to the hotel in Sorrento. After you arrive at your hotel settle in.

After the breakfast it's time to move on to Capri.  A 8-hour Capri boat small group tour (max 12 persons), to live an incredible day in one of the most beautiful Italian islands. Basic English speaking skipper. The cruise towards Capri island will start from the port of Sorrento, you will cruise the beautiful coastline of Sorrento and admire the incredible scenery of the island: hundred meters of cliffs that stand out in the most amazing blue sea, changing water colours like a chameleon, meters after meters. The most important spots you'll visit: the Blue Grotto (entrance to be paid on site, to the local boat owners), Grotta Verde, Grotta Bianca, Faraglioni Rocks, the lighthouse at Punta Carena. Stop for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters or diving in small hidden bays. Free time to visit and stroll around the streets of Capri and Anacapri (4 hours). Snack & drinks (water, beer, pepsi, prosecco) are included. Capri has the highest concentration of luxury fashion shops. Just name a fashion brand, particularly Italian ones, and you'll probably find it here. If you wish to enjoy the atmosphere than grab a chair in one of the outdoors cafe in the outdoors piazza and watch the people around the square: tourists and locals. Return to Sorrento.

Vist the beautiful Cloister of San Francesco, the monastery dedicated to St. Francis dates to the early eighth century, and its highlight is the vine-covered cloister dating from the late 13th-century. On two sides are crossed arches of tufa, and the other two have round arches above octagonal columns. In the summer, concerts and art exhibits are held in the cloister. In the adjoining church, which dates from the 16th century, are several Renaissance chapels.

Another enjoyable experience is to watch the sunset from the terrace by the Villa Comunale, a park near the cloister of San Francesco. The park is directly above the Marina Grande, and views are down into the busy harbor filled with colorful boats. 

Beyond, looking east across the Gulf of Naples is Mount Vesuvius. Looking west, the view is toward the rocky point of Capo di Sorrento. A lift will whisk you from Villa Comunale down to the marina below, or you can take the winding pathway.

After the breakfast, take one last day to enjoy the beautiful city of Sorrento. Stroll through the streets, eat some delicious last meals, and do some last-minute souvenir shopping in the town center, where amidst the 18th-Century palazzi they will find intricate works of wood intarsia, the city’s artisan mainstay. Before leaving Sorrento you can't miss the Limoncello, world-famous liqueur made from an infusion of lemon peels and alcohol. Sorrento and Limoncello are practically one and the same. Limoncello's gradation should be between 30 and 35°, while its color rests somewhere between yellow and a pale green, depending on how ripe the lemons are. It is served very cold, often after a meal; and, to taste more of this zone do not miss the provolone del Monaco P.D.O. and the mozzarella di bufala P.D.O. from Campania, one of Italy’s gastronomic products par excellence.
