      About this trip

An Iceland adventure to ring in the new year! Iceland in the winter is one of the most unique environments in the world and the perfect place for our New Year’s Eve adventure.  This trip is made for outdoor enthusiasts who not only like to dive head-first into outdoor adventures but who also want to be immersed in a foreign culture. Each activity you can (or cannot) find yourself doing is a hand-picked,  one-of-a-kind experience only Iceland can offer.

      Untitled Paragraph

Most people choose to visit Iceland in winter because of the high chance of seeing the Northern Lights. That’s not all we’re going there for. We plan on seeing the glacier lagoon, taking you on a glacier hike, bathing in the blue lagoon, potentially seeing the flowing lava of the active volcano, and of course exploring the city streets.

We had a great time with wonderful people, delicious food and comfortable accommodations. My most entertaining experience was the Big John’s Texas barbecue impromptu performance by Jesse and Iliana (one of the most hilarious live acts I’ve ever seen). My favorite visual experience was the Antelope Slot Canyon experience (so beautiful). The most heart racing experience was the canyoneering and repelling. I never thought in a billion years that I would be pulling such a crazy stunt, but I did with the help of my new chosen family. Love you guys and hopefully see you on the next adventure!!!

I met some wonderful people that I wouldn’t mind keeping in touch with. I love being outside in nature and this trip provided maximum opportunity to do so; Zion is stunning. The schedule was adequately filled with things to do and see. The trip is perfect for those who may not have traveling partners but possess an open mind, open heart, and are willing to meet/interact with new people.

The activities were amazing. For me, biking though Zion park (highly recommend the e-bike option!) and cayoneering (less scary than imagined) were the stand outs. The people were awesome. A lot of 30-somethings, but ages ranged from 20s-60s and we all got along great. That said, poor communication, organization, and value for cost, make this trip difficult to recommend. Hotels were different than advertised. Be aware it's a 25 min drive from the hotel to Zion, and there are no taxi or Uber/rideshare services available in the Springdale area. Some refinement of the logistics and more professional and proactive communication from the organizers would make this a great trip.

Had a lovely time in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Our gracious host was on top of everything when it came to making sure we were accommodated comfortably in our hotels, and always delivering the best cuisine in different parts of Rio, and making sure we made it to the sightseeing tours & kept us safe at all times. I have made some lifelong friendships & memories that will last a lifetime. I will definitely be joining the outsiders on future trips.

This is my first OUTSIDERS destination trip and it will not be my last! Great hotel choice with breakfast. The adventures captured the local attractions and most activity levels can do all daytime events. Dinner choices and night activities really had a local touch. We had almost 25 guest and it worked! I highly recommend joining on the next adventure. Thank you!
