Join yoga teacher and fitness pro, Steph Spangler, in the picturesque and supreme beauty of Iceland. Together, we will sight see and explore this breathtaking land, practice daily asana, meditation and of course, have time to relax and restore.
Daily practices are suitable for all levels and will be devoted to self discovery and tuning in to all the incredible talent, sweetness, perfection and beauty that is YOU.
Steph is a lover of yoga, animals, and all things fitness. She works as a full-time yoga teacher, personal trainer and group fitness instructor. In between classes and training sessions, you can likely catch her running on the trails in Pennsylvania, walking her dog, Sophie, or cycling with her husband.
Steph has been working in the wellness and fitness industry for 11 years. Prior to living in Conshohocken, PA, she lived in NYC for 15 years, where she started her career as a fashion designer who just practiced yoga and worked as a trainer “on-the-side”. What started as a hobby, soon developed into destiny when she saw just how much fitness and yoga impacted the lives of her clients. Steph’s approach to fitness has always been a corrective approach - with the understanding that the mind and body are extremely connected. Because of this thought process, Steph decided to get serious about her yoga practice and obtain her YTT 200 certification. From the moment she dedicated herself to the practice, she knew she found her calling and hopes to serve others by helping them discover own their path within the practice. The journey continues, as she is currently working toward her YTT 500 certification.
Steph’s approach to asana practice is dynamic and exploratory. You can count on the sequencing to develop to a peak pose, and it is always inspired by a theme, chakra, lyrics to a song, a piece of literature, art, seasonal changes, current happenings, and the list goes on. After all, the practice of yoga can be applied everywhere! She loves to learn from her students and from other instructors and is excited to see what this retreat teaches her too!
