See the orientation film of the battle and what led up to it.  After viewing the film you will have an opportunity to experience the Cyclorama followed by a tour of the battlefield with a licensed battlefield guide.   Afterward we travel to Washington, D.C. and enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing.  BLD

Begin at Arlington National Cemetery and witness the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown.  Our tour guide will then take us into the city and lead us on an orientation tour including monuments, history, memorials and more.  Afterward, we will walk in the footsteps of George Washington and tour his home, Mount Vernon.  Stroll the grounds.  Explore slave quarters and much more. Return to D.C. for dinner and limited sightseeing.  BLD 

 Time to visit the Archives, tour the U.S. Capital, step inside the Library of Congress, see the exterior of the Supreme Court Building.  A trip down to the Tidal Basin will allow us to walk through the FDR Memorial and see MLK Memorial.  In the afternoon we will have time to visit the Smithsonian Museum(S) This evening we see the World War !! memorial, before bidding farewell to D.C.   We travel from Washington to pick up a switch driver before traveling overnight to arrive home early morning.            BLD Late night snack
