About this trip

This trip is CONFIRMED and bookings close on January 28, 2023.

Are you ready for an adventure of a lifetime? Our trip to Peru will immerse you in the long-lost Inca empire by taking you on one of the best treks in the world, the 4-day Inca Trail that ends at the World Wonder of Machu Picchu.

This will be a pace-controlled, all-level-friendly hike! Do not fear that you are not fit enough or will be left behind. We want everyone on our trip to enjoy the trail, and take in the sights along the way.

To set the mood for the trek, we'll spend the first part of the trip visiting several village projects in the Sacred Valley and spending time in the gorgeous Spanish colonial city of Cusco.

Additionally, by booking with Divergent Travel Trips, you're supporting one of the best local companies in Peru which in turn employs over 560 local guides, porters, cooks, drivers, and office staff. When we visit the Sacred Valley, we'll have the chance to meet the families of the team that will help us take on the trail.

There isn't a more intimate way to experience the Incan legacy, the diverse landscapes of Peru, or the people and we'll be alongside you the entire way.

For those interested in photography, there will be incredible opportunities throughout the trip, as well as opportunities for you to learn more.  If you aren't into photography, no problem! We'll also be taking photos for you!

Cancellation Policy:

We live in a fast and ever-changing world these days, which is one of the many reasons we require travel insurance for all of our trips. This also means that if you cancel your trip due to covered reasons with your policy, you'll be able to file a claim and be reimbursed.

Your travel insurance will also cover trip interruption or cancellation, should something happen like a natural disaster or political unrest. It will also cover if you contract COVID-19 and cannot go on your trip.

Beyond that, we do offer a full refund less the non-refundable $500 deposit up to 90 days before the trip departure date if you choose to cancel for a personal reason.

If you need to cancel less than 90 days before the trip, we will only be able to offer a refund less the deposit if we are able to fill your spot.

This was an amazing trip! We so appreciated the special itinerary that Lina and David put together for the group. It hit all the highlights of Egypt and also showcased unique ‘off the beaten path’ places. Our Egyptian guide was so knowledgeable. We learned a lot. Great hotel choices. Having Lina and David lead the group was also a treat! They shared insights along the way and of course helped us take some incredible photos. We loved the small group dynamics too. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time! I loved the culture, the beautiful places we visited, the tour guides, the friends I made on the trip, etc. The food was also so exquisite and the fact that the owner of the tour guide company invited us to his home for dinner was an extra special honor I will not forget. I also loved that I got to go on the hot air balloon ride over the desert, see wild camels, and watch the sunset with new friends over the dunes. This trip was so important for me as I was (am) in a very difficult season of life and really needed to be reminded of what it felt like to be happy again. Thank you!
