      About this trip

The ultimate way to experience Machu Picchu is to walk the path of the Inca's, get off the beaten path, and cover 31 miles of exquisite terrain to one of the seven wonders of the world. The Inca Trail is one of the most famous trails in the world and for excellent reasons. Much of the trail is still the original Inca constructed trail, a true testament to Incan engineering. The trail itself is nothing short of breathtaking, full of deep history and unbelievable stories.  Best yet, our local guides educate you on what you are passing by, and why it matters.

The beauty of this experience is you have the opportunity to see Machu Picchu TWICE.

The first time you will enter via the Sun Gate around 4 pm. I can speak from personal experience when I say that this one of the best time to see this ancient city.  Many of the other tourists have left for the day, and you will find yourself at awe as you stand above the ruins at the Sun Gate. Once we hike down to Machu Pichhu, you will have time to soak it all in, take photos, explore a little and return via bus to Aguas Calientes.  Aguas Calientes is the town that sits below the ruins, and it provides for a fun local flare and chance for a restful nights sleep. The next morning you will ride the bus back up to Machu Picchu as our guides give you an unbelievable tour and education on Incan history.

Don't miss this once in a lifetime adventure. Machu Picchu is everything you've heard, and we can't wait to experience it with you.

*This hike will be difficult. Please make sure you are committed to a training schedule that will prepare you for the terrain and give you the best opportunity to enjoy our adventure.

Fantastic adventure. We saw and experienced so much. We challenged ourselves to walk on glaciers, climb up hills, taste 1000 year old glacial ice, drink from the well of the guide's family farm (water that his ancestors say was key to them living to be centenarians). The magic of Iceland came alive as our in country guides showed us all their special places, foods, traditions and history. There were so many stories. And we created stories of our own as a group and individually. Great group of people, great guides, and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Michelle and Keith's trips. This one changed me!

This was an incredible adventure. Once again Keith, Michelle, and those in the background knocked it out of the park. The company they found for this trip, Midgard Base Camp, was amazing and made us feel like part of their family. I know we went places and saw things that other tour companies don’t do. Walking on glaciers, getting wet under numerous waterfalls (who cares if it is cold if you are dressed right), seeing icebergs off of a glacier float down a river and washing up on the beach, super jeeps on the beach and crossing rivers were all some of the things we did and saw. And the food?? Holy cow it was fantastic. We will definitely be traveling with them again in the future.

An amazing trip, well organized, and great people from drivers, guide, and organizers. Highly recommend. Checked all my boxes to see and do everything I imagined. Was just fabulous. Thank you all.

This adventure was amazing! Michelle and Keith were helpful and supportive, providing information and assistance as needed. The accommodations were beautiful and luxurious, and the excursions were well-planned. Bali’s beauty is only overshadowed by its people. I had never traveled solo with a group like this, and it was a wonderful way to see the county without being “alone”, there was a camaraderie that made the trip even more special. There was zero drama (amazing with 20 women!) and I felt safe sharing and being part of as much (or as little) of the group activities as I wanted. Push yourself a bit and GO to Bali- you’ll be glad you did!

The Utah immersion was a fantastic experience. I have traveled to and explored this area before on my own but the adventures planned with guides were truly places and moments I don’t think I could have ever had on a solo visit. On top of that, the rest, recuperation and relaxation pieces during this trip were the escape that I very much needed!
