Settling into New Delhi

Today is arrival day and I know you are going to be excited to start exploring this beautiful country! Don't be overwhelmed by the smells, sights, and sounds because there will be a lot.

Day 2

Day 2 image

Full Day in New Delhi

Today we have a full day to explore New Delhi! There is so much to explore here so we're going to have a full day taking it all in.

Be prepared for lots of sights, sounds, and smells, because India has lots of these and it can feel overwhelming at first.

Some of the sights we'll be seeing today:

To prepare for our upcoming Taj Mahal visit, we'll be going to a sari shop to get our own customized one to wear! This does have an additional cost but you'll get something unique to wear and to take home. I'm excited about this because I've always wanted my very own sari and I'm already thinking about what color and design I want.

Day 3

Day 3 image

New Day, Old City

Get ready for a bit of chaos today while we explore Old Delhi. We'll have a visit to Chandani Chowk and our rickshaw ride! We'll make stops at a spice market and others to buy some souvenirs. Get ready for a bit of sensory overload!

Day 4

Day 4 image

Hola Agra!

Today we head to the city where the Taj Mahal is, Agra! Before heading out we'll have a nice filling breakfast. It's a bit of a drive so have your neck pillow on hand.

Our first stop after arriving will be the Agra Fort, which has been around since the 1500s. Many dynasties have been the owner of this fort over the years.

After lunch we'll head to a cooperative where local women work at a carpet factory. They'll tell us about the process and we can buy carpets if we'd like!

From here we'll head to the Sheros Cafe, a place created to aid acid victim survivors in India. You can support these victims by getting henna done here. It would also go lovely with your saree at the Taj Mahal tomorrow.

We have an early morning tomorrow so we'll get some rest early. PS our hotel has a slight view of the Taj Mahal so head to the rooftop to get a sneak peak!

Day 5

Day 5 image

Taj Mahal at Sunrise

Today is the day ladies, put on your sarees and make sure you have enough phone storage because we are heading to a New World Wonder, the Taj Mahal at sunrise!

This is the moment we've been waiting for so even with the early wake up call (5am 🤭) it will be SO worth it. We'll even have a private photoshoot where each of us will get up to 10 photos.

Our guide will tell us about the history of this magnificent building and we'll get more pictures and videos than our phones can handle.

After our visit, we'll head back to our hotel to grab our things and check out because we are heading to a new city!

But before we start on our way, we'll have a workshop by Taj descendants to learn how the Taj Mahal was built.

Enjoy the scenery as we head to Jaipur, India's pink city!

Day 6

Welcome to India's Pink City

Today is a full day exploring Jaipur, India's pink city. We'll see forts and buildings that have so much history and beauty.

Aside from visiting the city's must-see spots and getting gorgeous photos, we'll also take a visit to the pink city market to get some souvenirs and see how the locals shop.

Day 7

Day 7 image

Bollywood and Holi Day!

Today is all about DANCE and COLOR! 🎨

Today is an active day because we'll have our Bollywood dance class! Bollywood is fusion of traditional India, folk, salsa, and belly dance while also incorporating hip hop, jazz, and funk.

We will also be having our Holi festivities today. Holi is an Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love, and new beginnings. Everyone throws color at each other so expect to have colored powder everywhere.

Expect to have fun, but wear something you're okay with getting color all over ideally white but know it may not come out.

Day 8

Back to Delhi and Final Dinner

Today we head back to Delhi where we'll have our final dinner before packing up and getting ready to head home. It's a chill day so you can unwind and take in your last few moments in this beautiful country!
