      About this trip

      Once-in-a-lifetime experience of a luxury trip to India with world renowned Yoga teacher Claire Missingham (Jahnavi Devi) and the worlds best Taj Hotels. Devotion, Luxury, rest and rejuvenation. You will experience living in Bhakti mode: temple exploration, meditation, Asan, poetry, offers of daily kriya, sacred text readings and become deeply immersed in music and traditional mantras.  The Yog Yatra group is led in a way that is accessible and enriching for all. We offer Seva with our partners at Go Dharmic with local children, visit temples daily and sleep and eat in safe, luxurious Taj Hotels at each location on the trip: New Delhi, the hills outside Jaipur, Rajasthan, and in the Himalayas next to Ganga Ma river near Rishikesh. This is for an intimate group Maha Bharat (India) pilgrims, who enjoy exploration, flow and living the full spectrum of life in which days and hours dissolve into profound moments that will be remembered forever.  You will be offered educational and perspective shifting pre-reading should you wish to, to understand the significance spiritually, culturally and historically of our great locations. A must if you want to experience the best of Indian food, Yoga, History, travel and authenticity, also great if you are a first time India visitor. 

      Retreat Yatra begins: Dinner at 6pm on 3rd November 2024. 

      Plan to arrive on 3rd daytime, or arrive before 3rd at extra night's accommodation. 

      Yatra completes on 13th November once we take the domestic flight to Delhi. 

      Please arrange your outgoing flight for late night of 13th, or ideally, stay an extra night at a fantastic airport hotel and fly home on 14th from Delhi.

      We stay at the 5-star Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi, The Rambagh Lodge in Rajashtan and AnandKashi in the Himalyas. The Taj Hotels are not any hotel, each place has integrity, beauty, luxury and always an incredible luxurious feel. Delicious food, beautiful surroundings and exceptional staff always.  The hotel is known for the highest levels of quality, its ability to go many extra miles for guests, and its staff of highly trained employees, some of whom have worked within Taj Hotels for decades. We have 10 full nights in Taj Hotels for this trip, including exceptional breakfast and evening meals together every night inclusive.

      Incredible food on the retreat

      Each morning, after your yoga sadhana practices, we will gather for buffet breakfast: Masala Chay,  Indian Malabar Coffee, fresh fruits, omlettes, breads, healthful juices and everything you could fancy to fill yourself up for the day ahead. 


      Lunch is left for you to decide: we can give options for lunch out during excursions. In each location we offer suggestions of where the group can eat lunch. 


      Dinner: the best part of a group trip is that we meet every evening together at 7.30pm in the hotel restaurant for a Satsang dinner of sattvic traditional food, such as a vegan or vegetarian thali, a healthful and filling meal together as a group as inclusive. Every Taj Hotel has a wonderful chef and we can accommodate gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian diets. 

      Daily Schedule

      Sample Daily Schedule: 

      6-7am ~ Morning hot Masala Chay and leave for morning Pooja at a local temple 

      7-8.30am ~ Yoga, Kriya, Meditation and Daily Sankalp with Jahnavi Claire 

      8.30-10am ~ Taj Hotel Breakfast 

      10.30/11am ~ Leave for daily excursion or daily activity and lunch suggestions 

      3.30pm ~ Back to hotel for swimming, rest, reading, optional Spa treatments 

      4.30-5.30pm ~ Evening meditation, philosophy readings, evening Asana. 

      5.30-6.30pm ~ Aarti (depending on location) 

      7.30pm ~ Group evening meal, optional evening stroll and then bedtime to sleep in peace

      3-5th Nov: Temples, Khan Market, Lotus Temple, Seva at Gurudhwara

      Arrival Day

      India 3rd November / staggered arrival depending on airline. 

      Group begins at 6pm dinner. 


      Arrive Delhi by an International flight on 3rd November 2023 

      (or before if additional night's purchased). 

      Upon arrival, you will be met from your flight, with your name, and transferred to hotel. 

      Day to relax at the hotel, swim, check into room from 2pm onwards. 

      6PM: Welcome Celebration group Satsang Dinner at hotel. 


      Day One: Nov 04 2024: Delhi Day 

      0530 hrs – Optional: Wake up early morning for optional Aarti at Hanuman Temple by tuk tuk. Meet hotel reception for morning masala chay (tea) 

      0700-0830 hrs Yoga session - indoor venue. 

      0830 hrs – Breakfast at the hotel. 

      1030 Group trip to visit to Lotus temple. Then to visit Khan Market Good Earth, Anokhi. Optional Lunch at Good Earth Café in Khan Market. 

      1530 Return to hotel. 

      1700 Yoga + Meditation 

      1900 Enjoy a group inclusive vegetarian/satvik dinner at the hotel. 


        

      Day Two:  Nov 05 2024: Delhi Morning, PM flight to Jaipur 

      0530 hrs – Optional: wake up early morning for optional Aarti at Hanuman Temple Meet hotel reception for morning masala chay.

      0700-0800 Yoga with Jahnavi Claire indoor venue. 

      0800 hrs – Buffet Breakfast at the hotel.

      Pack and check out of the hotel by 10am. 

      10.30-1pm: Seva at Gurudhwara - Experience the incredible Sikh temple in Delhi and we offer service cooking. 

      Group Transfer to Delhi airport to board flight to Jaipur 

      Flight to Jaipur ( 6E 2204 @ 1600/1650 Hrs ) 

      Arrive & Transfer to the hotel in Rajasthan.

      Evening meal as a group at new hotel, optional evening walk to see stars and mountains of Rajasthan.

      Jahnavi Claire Missingham is one of the world's leading experts in traditional YOG - running trainings, workshops, classes, mentorships in the USA, UK and India since 2000. She was one of the first teachers to champion the vinyasa method in the UK. For 11 years, she ran a Certified Teacher Training School for Vinyasa Flow Yoga, and continues to train highly skilled, unique and deep thinking teachers. Her writing work on yoga + meditation has featured in hundreds of publications, including Tatler, Grazia and Vogue and Yoga Journal.
