This 3-day Rwanda experience begins with your arrival in Kigali, where you'll be met by a representative and embark on a city tour exploring landmarks such as the Richard Kandt House, Nyamirambo, Mt Kigali, and the Genocide Memorial. You’ll spend your first night at Nest Guest House. On Day 2, travel to Musanze through the scenic Rwandan countryside to Nyakinama Village and Red Rocks Camp. Here, you'll engage in a rich cultural exchange with local communities, enjoy traditional dances, cuisine, and crafts, and create your own souvenir art piece. The evening wraps up with a bonfire, storytelling, and tasting traditional Rwandan beer. On the final day, you'll head to the lakeside town of Kibuye for a hands-on coffee tour at Kinunu Washing Station, followed by lunch at Rushel Kivu before returning to Kigali to conclude your journey.
Arrival Kigali airport, meet our representative, Briefing for your safari, thereafter undertake the City tour of Kigali, places of interest include Richard Kandt house, first German resident Richard Kandt, which now was turned into Natural History Museum, Old town Nyamirambo, Kigali highest peak, Mt Kigali, not forgetting to visit and pay tribute to victims of the 1994 genocide, the site is a reminder of senseless massacre against Tutsi during 1994. Later in the afternoon check into your hotel.
Overnight: Nest Guest House
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Musanze, some 94 Kilometres from Kigali city, driving amidst undulating hilly Rwanda countryside, and know the reason why Rwanda is called a Land of thousand Hills. After 3 hours’ drive, you will get into Musanze town, home to the last surviving mountain gorillas. Proceed to Nyakinama Village and check into Red Rocks Camp. Rest of the day you will be treated in an intercultural exchange program, whereby you will interact with the locals and learn more about our cuisine, Traditional dance, local games, traditional beer-making, etc. Thus you learn our culture and at the same time, the locals learn more about your culture. The red Rocks art gallery is an initiative destined to promote decent work and economic growth, the art pieces produced have a message on conservation and the youth have the opportunity to profit from their skills. You will be taught how to make your own art piece to take home as a souvenir. Later in the evening drive back to Red Rocks Camp where you will enjoy a bonfire as you share techniques on how potatoes and maize were traditionally baked under direct fire, sipping traditional beer, Urwagwa originally from Rwanda as you get entertained by traditional dancers.
Overnight: Red Rocks Camp
After breakfast at 0600hrs drive to the resort town of Kibuye, via Mukamira and Gitarama, the drive will take approximately 4 hours. On arrival at Kibuye, you will proceed to Kinunu coffee washing station for a coffee tour experience which will last for 2 hours.
You will discover and learn the whole process of coffee farming, by engaging in harvesting ripe beans, and a visit to the washing station where they are dried to produce the finest coffee. Have lunch at Rushel Kivu, thereafter during the afternoon drive back to Kigali to conclude your trip.
