It's time to hit the pause button and truly disconnect to connect. To disconnect from all the people, places and things that drain our very being and dim our light and to connect to our own self, our internal light, our spark, our ancestors and the earth to which we tread upon. From private transportation from the San Jose airport, the mix of beach & jungle, the private accommodations, the exhilarating experiences and excursion, this is truly a resort meets retreat.  We will indulge in stripping away the madness and allowing ourselves the atmosphere and time to rediscover ourselves - our purpose and our path - immersing ourselves in all the beauty and bliss that Costa Rica has to offer. 

The accommodations range from VIP Private, Private, Doubles and Quads. Be sure to read the full descriptions when viewing the places to stay.  We will spend 5 nights and 6 days in serene bliss with 6 planned experiences and excursions along with yoga, meditation and ample time to explore, wander or simply rest within the 22 private acres of the Imiloa Institute. *Note: if you have a single King Bed and are planning to bring an extra person to share the bed, there is a $1750 charge for an additional guest.*

The planned excursions & experiences are: 

- Blue Clay Experience - The Blue Clay is a sacred healing clay that comes from the mountains near Imiloa. One of our experienced staff members will guide your group down to the waterfall where you will hear the story of the clay and do a guided meditation. You will use brushes to apply the clay, rest for a bit in the sun and then rinse it all off in the cool water from the waterfall. A perfect setting to visualize rinsing and letting go of anything you want to leave behind and not bring into the new year.

- Beach Dinner & Party at Playa Linda

- Forest Bathing - Forest bathing is a therapeutic practice that involves immersing oneself in the forest atmosphere to nourish the mind, body, and soul. It is one of the ancient healing methods used in the Sacred Path project at the Imiloa Institute in Costa Rica, which also includes meditation, breathwork, grounding barefoot in the jungle and sacred plant ceremonies. 

We will also experience the multiple swimming pools, infinity pools, miles of jungle pathways that lead to different gems on the property, including their private waterfall, named by the priests of the Indigenous Tribe (Kogis, from Colombia) “Morundwa.” The tribe visited Imiloa, as many tribes do, and activated their waterfall. 

Our yoga and meditation will take place throughout the property, including a 250m² Balinese super-structure and classroom, hanging 100 feet in the jungle. 

Whether you’re in 200 year old homes from Bali on the cliff, Geodesic Domes deep in the Jurrasic Jungle or Jungle Bungalows (Jungalows) with bathtubs out to their unofficial sloth sanctuary, you’ll have a story to tell about your stay at Imiloa. 

At Imiloa, they like to call their food “conscious comfort food.” That means they serve healthy, locally-sourced, gourmet vegan meals that are as artistically plated, scientifically nourishing and delightfully crafted for all retreat guests.

Pricing varies based on the chosen accommodation. No matter the package we have formulated a cost to encompass the whole experience from the time you land without hidden expenses. Our costs include all ground transportation, meals, group excursions and even gratuity. Extras are available including spa services and other onsite and offsite adventures but since these are extras, you are able to experience these on your own accord.

To secure your spot!!! Pick your package and make your non-refundable 10% deposit. The remaining balance will be split over the course of 18 months, or you can choose to pay the entire balance in one swoop. Payments commence in July 2024 to Dec 2025. Registration and payments can be made through this WeTravel page. If you pay via bank transfer, there is no transaction fee. If you pay by credit card, 3.9% is added for their processing fees. It will be easiest if all payments are made through this site, however, payments can also be made at the front desk of the studio.

Prior to Sept 11  2025: full refund of any payments made minus non-refundable deposit

From Sept 12 2025 to Dec 11 2025: refund of any payments made minus 50% the cost of total retreat package and the non-refundable deposit.

On or after Dec 12 2025: no refund will be offered of any payments made.

• Arrive in Costa Rica at SJO airport and enjoy a private flight to the landing strip near Imiloa. You will meet the rest of your retreat group and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you fly over Costa Rica's mountains and the pacific coast line.
• Upon arrival at Imiloa we will get acquainted with our concierge team and accommodations, followed by a 3-course dinner.
• There may be a slow flow with some quiet meditation for our bodies to catch up to everything that mind and spirit have taken in already.
• Tonight is for good rest and relaxation so that you can fully enjoy your retreat experience. There will be pool lounging, deck relaxing and calm strolls until you choose to retire.

• Begin your first day at Imiloa with a hot beverage of your choice delivered to your doorstep.
• Enjoy meditation or yoga before heading to a delicious gourmet breakfast.
• Ground yourself with our journaling, quite time or connecting with fellow guests, followed by free time.
• Late we will partake in the Blue Clay Experience at the property's private waterfall to connect our nourish our whole self.
• In the evening, after a luxurious dinner, we will partake in a Cacao Ceremony

• We will start the day with a heart opening yoga flow, followed by an invigorating breakfast. 
• We will spend the afternoon in Playa Dominica, enjoying the beach, shops, cafes and all the delights that this small surf town has to offer.
• Upon our return, there will be free time to explore or relax before we head to dinner. 

• Wake up slowly or start the day off with an energizing yoga class.
• After another fulfilling breakfast, we will partake in a transformative and intentional Forest Bathing.
• In the afternoon there will be free time if you want to rest & relax, lounge, book a spa service, wander and meditate on your own or connect with other guests.
• The evening will consist of a Fire Performance & Ceremony

• Today we will start with a slow morning.
• The late morning and early afternoon yoga flows will take place at the waterfall & the suspended platform. 
• We will have a group discussion concerning our experience so far, what we expected, how we are connecting and what we hope to take home with us.
• In the evening we will head down to the beach to close out the retreat experience with a fun beach dinner party, bonfire, fresh juices, dancing and sunset.

• Meet for one last yoga session before enjoying our last breakfast together.
• We will depart Imiloa around 9AM to take the private plane back to SJO.
