If Iceland has been sitting on your “someday” list… this is your sign.
Into the Wild: Iceland South Coast Adventure is a 6-day, winter-magic experience designed for travelers who want dramatic landscapes, geothermal relaxation, glacier hikes, and Northern Lights — without having to plan a single detail.
We’re going in February — prime season for icy waterfalls, moody black sand beaches, fewer crowds, and the best chance to see the Aurora dancing across the sky.
This is Iceland at its most raw and powerful.
We’ll soak in geothermal lagoons, hike a glacier with a local guide, chase waterfalls you can walk behind, stand at the edge of volcanic craters, and explore Iceland’s most iconic landscapes along the South Coast.
✨ The famous Golden Circle — Strokkur Geyser erupting before your eyes, the roaring power of Gullfoss, and the unreal blue waters of Brúarfoss
✨ A peaceful soak at Sky Lagoon and the historic Secret Lagoon
✨ Walking behind Seljalandsfoss and discovering the hidden canyon waterfall Gljúfrabúi
✨ Standing in awe at Skógafoss and the dramatic cliffs of Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
✨ A guided glacier hike on Sólheimajökull
✨ Kerið Crater’s striking volcanic colors
✨ Diamond Beach — where crystal-clear ice chunks wash up on jet-black sand (yes, it’s as unreal as it sounds)
✨ A Northern Lights tour under the Arctic sky
✨ Free time to explore Reykjavik’s cafés, shops, and vibrant streets

Arrive in Reykjavík and begin your adventure with a relaxing soak at Sky Lagoon. From there, we’ll head to Kerið Crater before enjoying dinner at Ingólfsskáli Viking Restaurant. After dinner, we’ll check into our hotel and settle in for the night.
Today we explore the legendary Golden Circle, starting with the powerful Gullfoss and watching Strokkur erupt sky-high. We’ll stop for lunch at Friðheimar (not included), then continue on to Faxafoss before ending the day soaking at Secret Lagoon — the perfect way to unwind after a full adventure day.
This morning we head along Iceland’s dramatic South Coast, home to some of the country’s most unforgettable scenery. Walk behind the curtain of water at Seljalandsfoss, discover the hidden Gljúfrabúi, and feel the mist from powerful Skógafoss.
We’ll continue on to Reynisfjara to take in the dramatic black sand shoreline and crashing Atlantic waves, before ending the day with a guided glacier hike on Sólheimajökull. Afterward, we’ll return to our hotel for the evening.
Today we head east toward one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where massive icebergs drift through a glacial lake (and seals are often spotted swimming between them). Just across the road, we’ll visit Diamond Beach to see crystal-clear chunks of glacier ice scattered across black sand.
We’ll stop for lunch along the route, then make our way back west with a dinner stop in Vík before returning to our hotel for the evening.
We make our way back to Reykjavík, with time to settle in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring cafés, shops, or simply unwinding after several adventure-filled days.
This evening, we head out on our Northern Lights tour, hoping for clear skies and a memorable display to close out the day.
Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Reykjavík. Visit the iconic waterfront sculpture Sun Voyager, admire the architecture of Hallgrímskirkja, and stroll along Laugavegur for last-minute shopping or coffee.
Transfers to the airport will be arranged according to flight times as we say goodbye to Iceland.
Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a Registered Nurse turned travel host who believes life is too short to wait for “someday.” After 20 years in the ER and raising three amazing kids, I realized I wanted more than living for vacations. I wanted a life filled with adventure, purpose, and experiences worth remembering. Since hosting my first group trip in 2018, I’ve had the privilege of helping travelers explore the world through thoughtfully designed group adventures that bring people together. Today, my husband Wade and I travel the world while I continue leading unforgettable trips across Europe, Africa, and beyond. Whether you join solo or with a travel companion, my goal is to help you travel with confidence, build meaningful connections, and create memories that last a lifetime.
Life is short. Take the trip. ✈️
