Have you always wanted to try yoga, but aren't sure where to start, or tried a yoga class but it moved too fast for you?
In this class, taught by the Lighting the Path Yoga Teacher Trainees, we will explore some of the basic postures, breathing and meditation techniques that make up the practice of Hatha yoga. Students will leave with a basic understanding of proper alignment and technique, sun salutations and the “vinyasa”, and will be prepared for most beginner and all level classes.
Yoga is appropriate for just about anyone. You don't need to be flexible or be able to quiet the mind. You simply need the desire to show up and do your best. Whether you are brand new to yoga or you’ve been practicing for some time, this workshop will provide plenty of opportunities to grow, learn and have some fun!
This is a class being offered by the Lighting the Path Yoga Teacher Trainees and will be taught be the trainees and observed and supported by Pete Guinosso.
This is a donation based class. We are raining money for the non-profit - Yoga Gives Back.
Yoga Gives Back is a non-profit supporting the people of India.
In 2023, while many of us are blessed to have yoga practice that sustains us at this difficult time, our fund-recipient women and children in India are struggling for their lives.
Now more than ever, we are called to take action.
Worldwide, an estimated 300 million practicing yogis drive an 80-billion dollar industry. If a fraction of this can be redirected to empower the underserved women and children in India, we can effect a real change, especially at this challenging time.

More About Yoga Gives Back
There are many charity organizations within the yoga community, but there is none other that focused on giving back to India, especially to support the serious challenges of poverty and related social issues. It’s clear that the economic imbalance is lopsided, that impoverished mothers will never even have a chance to relax with yoga practice in India; while so many of us, an estimated 300 million practitioners today, enjoy this practice mainly for self-care, generating an estimated 80 billion dollars.
Now, our goal is to reach to #OneMillionYogis so we can create much bigger impact, empowering lives.
