Students will reinforce what they have learned in 8th Grade US History while they travel for 6 days and 5 nights to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Hershey Park. It's a trip of a lifetime as they experience Arlington Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, Independence Hall, Gettysburg Military Park and so much more.
We celebrate the trip by having a blast at the award winning Hershey Park.
All meals are included.

On day 1 we'll depart school early in the morning and have lunch on the way to D.C. We'll enjoy dinner at the Reagan International Trade Center food court.
Following dinner we'll enjoy an evening stroll around the Potomac tidal basin visiting the FDR Memorial, MLK Jr. Memorial and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
Then we'll get settled into our fabulous hotel.
Students will be immersed in history as they tour our nations magnificent Capitol. They'll get to see the dome as well as the crypt as they are taken on a guided tour throughout the Capitol.
They'll also have a chance to see the Library of Congress and Supreme Court.
A professional group picture is taken with the Capitol in the background.
Trip members will be delighted to walk through the home of George Washington as well as the rest of his estate and educational center.
After some serious learning, students will have a blast as they feast at Medieval Times Dinner Tournament and Theatre before heading back to the hotel.
Today we'll spend time honoring our fallen heroes at the Arlington, National Cemetery including the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Followed by an visit to the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial.
We'll spend an afternoon enjoying one of the several Smithsonian Museums.
Students will be reminded of what happened at Ford's Theatre when they experience the inside where the events took place.
A favorite meal is right down the street at the Washington, D.C. Hard Rock Cafe.
A second night of strolling through memorials, this time the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Korean Memorial.
Pizza Party and a story from Ole Bess awaits the travelers as they arrive at the hotel for a very entertaining evening.
It's time for a Revolution!
It's hard to imagine what our Founding Fathers went through as they created this experiment in self government.
We'll be in the very room of Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the new Constitution was signed.
"Let Freedom Ring, Let Freedom Ring" will be their cry as they walk through the Liberty Bell exhibit.
A far greater understanding of our Constitution will be learned as we visit the famous Constitution Center.
Included is the home of Betsy Ross, a quaint little house among the ever growing city.
A ride atop a Double Decker Bus through Philadelphia summarizes our visit to the City of Brotherly Love.
We'll be immersed in the Civil War as we participate in a guided tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield, watch a film narrated by Morgan Freeman, and study a historic painting of Pickett's Charge.
As we wind up our amazing trip, we'll celebrate at Hershey Park, a fabulous park with awesome roller coasters, an amazing water park, and Chocolate World (probably the best souvenir shop in the world).
Today we'll travel back home stopping at the Golden Corral in Elyria, Ohio on the way.
We'll never forget the times we had on this trip. Learning so much, walking so far, enjoying the company of friends and spending time with family as we experience a trip of a lifetime.
