1.  Howth and Malahide (9:00 AM With Peter)-either a full day or half day-a 2 castle experience complete with ghosts!

Howth (Binn Éadair, meaning ;Éadair speak;) is a village and outer suburb of Dublin, Ireland. The district as a whole occupies the greater part of the peninsula of Howth Head, which forms the northern boundary of Dublin Bay. It is only 30 minutes from Dublin. It offers amazing vistas of Dublin Bay from the summit, lovely cliff and marine walks fabulous seafood-from trawler to plate being an important fishing area. It’s history goes back to the 14 th Century and was the location for one of the first Viking invasions even well before that. There is of course a castle which is really worth exploring Onwards to Malahide Castle.

Malahide Castle Meet the ghosts that haunt the castle corridors! Rumoured to be the most haunted castle in Ireland, over hundreds of years, the castle’s residents, workers and visitors have all reported eerie happenings. Setting down roots in the medieval era, generations of the Talbot family called Malahide Castle home. store. At your leisure visit the Walled Botanical Gardens and Butterfly House at Malahide Castle before taking a 10 minute stroll to the Casino Model Railway Museum, located directly opposite the pedestrian entrance to Malahide Castle& its grounds. Something for everyone!

2. Old Jameson Distillery Whiskey Tour (12:30 PM) -  Enrich your knowledge of world-famous Irish whiskey on the new, guided tour of the Jameson Distillery Bow St. in Dublin. Guinness - With Group  (3:00 PM - See Tickets)-  We will meet at the Guiness Store House at 3:00 pm.  While we are there we will explore the past, present and future of St. James’s Gate. We will go ‘Behind the Gates’ of the historic St. James’s Gate Brewery for the ultimate 3-hour Guinness experience. What better way to make your visit to Dublin than with the tour of a lifetime?

Trinity College - Book of Kells - With Group (4:30 PM - See tickets) - The Book of Kells Exhibition is a must-see on the itinerary of all visitors to Dublin. Located in the heart of the city center in Trinity College Dublin, the Exhibition displays the Book of Kells, a 9th-century manuscript that documents the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ. The Book of Kells is Ireland’s greatest cultural treasure and the world’s most famous medieval manuscript.  The Exhibition also features access to the Long Room, one of the world’s most beautiful libraries, that houses 250,000 of Trinity College’s oldest books.

2. Wicklow Day Trip with Powers Court - With Peter - 9AM

A wonderfully diverse and scenic day would include Powerscourt Estate and Glendalough providing a unique exploration of County Wicklow attractions. Yet quite near Dublin so not long driving periods.

Powerscourt Gardens in County Wicklow, one of the most beautiful gardens in Ireland! Powerscourt Gardens were recently voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic.The Gardens stretch over 47 acres and offer visitors a sublime blend of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues and ornamental lakes, secret hollows and rambling walks. Powerscourt Gardens

were designed from 1731 onwards, with the desire to create a garden which was part of the wider surrounding landscape. Powerscourt Gardens include The Walled Gardens, The Italian Garden, The Dolphin Pond, The Japanese Gardens, Pets Cemetery and Pepperpot Tower, among other features and attractions. The original historic house contains a great restaurant with an outside terrace and avery fine gift store with many artisan items. There is also a video illustrating the history of the estate. Even as a local I love coming here, especially since the Powerscourt Whiskey Distillery opened!

Glendalough (Gleann Dá Loch, “Valley of the Two Lakes”) is a fascinating monastic settlement in a spectacular natural setting just an hour south of Dublin. The monastery was founded by St. Kevin, a hermit monk who died about 618 AD. The extensive ruins of Glendalough include several early churches, a graceful round tower, and various sites associated with the life of St. Kevin. This is one of

the oldest monastic sites in Europe and is situated beside the 2 lakes mentioned in it’s name. Driving from Dublin we pass by lovely County Wicklow landscape, from the gentleness of rolling hillsides to this rugged glacial carved valley.

Cliffs of Moher - With Group- 

This will be an amazing visit to the Cliffs of Moher on the very edge of Western Europe right on the West coast of Ireland-next stop New York!! Voted seventh most wonderful heritage site in the world by Unesco. Take in stunning views of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. Witness spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and the stunning Burren National Park home of 75% of Ireland's national

flora. 

Take the opportunity to stop off at a traditional pub, O’Connors in the delightful village of Doolin-AMAZING chowder-beef and Guinness pie-of course a pint to slake the thirst before we visit the acclaimed 15th iconic Bunratty Castle - the most complete and authentic castle in Ireland The site on which Bunratty Castle stands was in origin a Viking trading camp in 970. The present structure is the last of four castles to be built on the site. Take a tour of this iconic fortress; hear and see how the lords and ladies of this castle lived; hear stories of battles and bravery and enjoy stunning views across the idyllic Clare countryside.
