Giant Tortoises & Evolution
Upon arrival to the airport, you will be met by our representatives who will welcome you and take you to your first expedition in Galapagos: The visit to the giant tortoises in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island, here your guide will explain all about the famous tortoises, their habits and more, you will also have the chance to enter and walk through the lava tunnels.

A well deserved lunch will be ready for you after this last visit.

After a moment of rest, you will continue your journey to Puerto Ayora and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, this visit will take you to different stages of the giant tortoise breeding areas and you will learn the work the Station does in terms of conservation of flora and fauna.

The final stop will be at your hotel for a well deserved rest.

Penguins & Sharks
After breakfast you will be taken to the pier to take the speed boat that will take you to Isabela Island, this is public transportation. The ride takes around 2,5-3 hours.

Upon arrival, our representatives will welcome you and take you to the hotel to check in and rest for a little bit, before you take the next expedition to Tintoreras Islet where you are able to see the reef sharks, marine iguanas and have a wonderful time snorkelling around this area.

Lunch will be ready back at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you have the option to take a self guided bike trip around our suggested spots or stay at the hotel and relax.

Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Marine turtles & Mantarays
After breakfast you will visit Cabo Rosa, where you have the opportunity to snorkel around this area. It’s one of the most important attractions, located 40 minutes by boat from Puerto Villamil. It is a spectacular place for scuba diving, birdwatching and meeting with the different marine species like tropical fishes, manta rays, sea turtles, penguins, sea lions, lobsters and sea snakes. These lava formations look like tunnels and along hundreds of years have become a marine paradise inhabited by endemic Galapagos species.

Volcanoes & Iguanas
After breakfast you will be taken to explore the magnificent Sierra Negra Volcano, a moderate hike will take you to the crater of this volcano which is actually the favorite place for land iguanas to lay their eggs. Sierra Negra is one of the six volcanoes on Isabela, well-known for having the second largest volcanic caldera in the world. Is located about 20km from Puerto Villamil. It’s an amazing point for birdwatching and exploring the vegetation.

Returning to Baltra Airport
After breakfast, you are taken to the pier for an early trip to Santa Cruz Island, this ride is on a public speed boat that takes around 2,5- 3 hours.

Upon arrival at Santa Cruz Island, our driver will take you to Baltra airport for your flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.

Our stay at the the Wooden House was absolutely perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay. I can not recommend highly enough.
