About this trip

NOTE: The 'double occupancy' rate is the price of TWO people sharing the same bed (not including the  $300 deposit for the second person which is added during checkout).

As a volcanic island with shifting energies and home to an ancient and cultural tradition of meditation, prayer, and healing, Bali is an intense and powerful place. Join Bre & Flo as we connect with nature and step into the magic of the Balinese land at the Breathe and Flow yoga retreat right outside Ubud. Submerge yourself for 7 days of yoga, breath work, sound healing, lectures, workshops, swimming, delicious plant-based meals crafted from local chefs, and so much more.

With dozens of sacred temples nearby, gorgeous pink sunsets, waterfall hikes, a transformative healing space, private massages, and several yoga classes that integrate pranayama and meditation, you'll cultivate love and spaciousness as you tune into nature while tuning into yourself. This is a down-to-earth retreat for those who want the grounding experience of being engulfed by the healing Balinese land.

Being in Bali opens up a portal in our hearts to explore a part of the soul that has been untouched. Connect more deeply with your Self, mother nature, and those around you, while opening yourself up to new possibilities, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually by taking time to ground down in the mystical land of the Bali jungle.

ABOUT OUR YOGA RETREATS

WARNING: if you're on the hunt for a yoga retreat where there's just two classes a day, shopping, gossiping, chillin' at the beach all day, then going out dancing and getting drunk at night, then our yoga retreats are NOT for you. We have a different way of hosting yoga retreats. When we sat down and put together our dream yoga retreats, we designed each of them with the agenda that would inspire *us* to attend the retreat ourselves.

We share everything we know and love, from creatively-sequenced power vinyasa flow classes that integrate functional range conditioning kinstretch to restorative yoga with essential oils, pranayama breathwork, meditations, handstand workshops and daily drills, arm balances, myofascial release therapy, ayurveda, lectures on fasting, mindfulness, and more. We'll snap some dope pics of you throughout the retreat and add the edited versions to the group photos folder afterwards so you can reminisce on the experience.

All of our 2021 retreats include plant based meals, beautiful accommodations, and local cultural events (depending on which retreat you attend), such as water temple healing, surfing, ice bath cold exposure, amazon jungle excursions, cacao ceremonies, shaman-guided sacred plant medicine ceremonies, spa and saunas, massages, hiking in the alps, and so much more.

You get the point. our mission is to share with you ALL the tools you need to be successful in your life so you can go home and truly ignite the fire within your soul to chase your dreams and CATCH THEM ✨

If you’re at a pivotal moment in your life, processing a new direction, or looking for a fun and meaningful way to remember who you are and reconnect to your personal power, THIS IS IT! Our retreats are designed for people interested in personal growth surrounded by a supportive community of new friends while exploring movement, breathwork, and activities that connect and challenge your body and mind. Our concept is, "you do you," so you're not required to attend everything in the packed agenda, but we deliver plenty of opportunities to make this an experience that will ignite positive shifts in your life if you show up and say YES!

We welcome all levels of experience. Expect the movement classes to be accessible, challenging, and playful no matter your level of fitness. You don't need to be a yogi (whatever that is anyways) or a gym junkie - you just need to be a human being interested in growing. You can come alone, with your partner or with a friend - most of our retreat attendees are solo travelers and we become a wolfpack instantly - you’ll feel as though you’ve arrived hOMe.

YOGA CLASSES

Practice yoga in a beautiful hardwood floor open-air yoga studio where mats, blankets, straps, and bolsters are all provided. The classes will be vinyasa yoga (linking movement with the breath), as well as restorative yoga with essential oils (a gentle practice with longer holds - all poses on the ground).

The creatively-sequenced classes will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, energizing, and meditation. In addition, there will be several workshops (arm balance, handstands, myofascial release) and lectures as well as tarot reading and succulent crafting. You will experience a safe and nurturing space, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energized. We strongly encourage beginner yogis to join us, as this is a perfect opportunity to gain the knowledge about the practice from the ground up. For experienced yogis, this is also a great place to deepen your existing practice and continue to grow.

**Thinking you're not "advanced" enough to attend yet? Think again. It doesn’t matter how long you have been practicing yoga, ALL our classes and workshops are for all levels, beginners as well as very experienced practitioners and instructors. We start all of our workshops at the beginner level and work up throughout the session allowing students to step off the train and go back to the basics whenever they'd like. We offer a little bit of everything with nearly 20 years of combined experience of studying human anatomy/nutrition and nearly 1000 hours of yoga teaching & trainings from Thailand, India, Germany, and the US.

VENUE & LODGING

The Rahasia Manis Sanctuary is an ultra-private oasis nestled in the Balinese foothills at the jungle’s edge near Ubud, atop a vast amphitheater of rice paddies. Matching this iconic essence-of-Bali view, the villa itself is equally enchanting. It was created as a stylish, spacious villa, in tune with nature and bursting with character and personal touches.

The lodging villas and entertainment areas, a fire pit, a saltwater pool made from volcanic stone, several hammocks, and endless meditative spaces throughout the sanctuary, you’re bound to relax, rejuvenate, and heal. Beyond the villa, guests can stroll through the rice fields and see the daily offerings are left at shrines to Dewi Sri, the goddess of prosperity.

The sanctuary has chosen to not install AC so they can respect their connection to nature and take advantage of the natural breezes. Being considerably higher in elevation than Ubud, the temperature is cooler so there are far less mosquitoes, although all beds do have nets.

With rooms ranging from traditional Balinese style huts with private en-suite outdoor stonework bathrooms with lounge terraces to bunk bed bedrooms, there’s an opportunity for everyone to find a space that suits them best. All the bedrooms are completely unique and thoughtfully decorated with beds ranging in size from kings to twins.

When you book a "double occupancy bed," you are booking TWO people at the retreat and it often includes a steep discount: one spot for you and one spot for a friend/partner/lover that you're sharing the bed with.

reducing impact

As human beings, by simply existing on planet earth, we leave behind an unavoidable carbon footprint. We always encourage people to explore this beautiful world and of course love that you’re joining us on this retreat, but we also understand our responsibility to sustain and protect the beautiful places we all have the privilege of visiting. Flying in a plane is one of the most carbon-intensive activities known to mankind. With our Carbon Offset Initiative, we take responsibility to sustain and protect the beautiful places we get to visit and enjoy. That's why we're proud to partner with the Carbonfund Foundation to offset our unavoidable energy expenditures by giving an annual donation to this incredible nonprofit organization to offset our carbon use.

We invite you to join us in reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future. More information can be found on the Environment page of our website. Head to the Carbonfund Foundation to calculate and purchase tax deductible carbon offsets for your travel and lifestyle. In this room: Two twin size beds for one person each.

Bunk Room rate for private single occupancy king bed: 2490

Bunk Room rate for shared single occupancy twin beds: 1990

Bunk Room rate for private double occupancy king bed: 1990 x 2 people = 3980 (same rate as the shared single occupancy twin beds, just putting the two twins together to make a king bed).

There are four Balinese huts available (named Kamala, Radha, Sita, and Uma). They are built in the traditional Balinese style, each one completely unique and colorfully decorated, with bamboo matting walls. They are built close together, with plenty of visual privacy, however they are not completely soundproof, so we do ask guests to be particularly cognizant of those staying adjacent to them.

Kamala is the first hut at the beginning of these 4 huts, and therefore closest to the main pathway. An advantage being that it only has a shared wall on one side.  There are bamboo blinds that can be lowered to allow more privacy between the huts, (in all photos they are raised).  The huts are right on the edge of a jungle that slopes down to a river; it is calm and quiet, cool with natural breezes and plenty of shade. All the huts have high ceilings and fans. Each hut has a small refrigerator, personal safe, private patio for outdoor lounging with a large sized couch, table and chairs for dining and computer work, a hammock, mosquito net, koi pond, private en-suite outdoor stonework bathroom with a shower and unlimited hot water, excellent free wifi, purified water dispenser and facilities for preparing hot drinks.

There is full access to a large saltwater swimming pool, and a small warung (restaurant) on the property where simple Balinese meals can be ordered and delivered to your room. The property itself has countless different nooks and spaces for eating, relaxing quietly or talking privately on the phone. We do not have AC, there are high areas open to the elements with no screens and the bathroom is open air but with very high walls, (the sink and toilet are under a roof awning so useable in any weather). The huts are perfectly safe, secure and lockable, whilst not fully closed off to all of nature and the natural breezes. There are glass sky-lights both in the room and on the patio making for more natural light.

Small Teak Room rate for double occupancy bed: 1990 x 2 people = 3980 (a savings of 700 per person if you share a bed)

These beautiful carved teak houses are cozy and secluded (named Siddhi and Ishani). The bed in Siddhi sits on the floor, so this is not the house for those who don’t like living at floor level although the whole house is raised up and looks out over the jungle. We replaced 2 of the walls with glass, so the vistas all around are breathtaking.

There is an outside bale connected to the house that creates extra living space and is ideal for working, (it has an International socket for a lap-top). It is self contained and very private, ideal for those who enjoy communing with nature. It is also the perfect little “love nest” for couples. Cosy, intimate living in the most idyllic location, this house is also perfect for solo travelers, an ideal spot for solitude, meditation, contemplation or simply lounging. The house is adjacent to other houses but doesn’t look out over any. It is surrounded by a living fence, fruit trees and vegetable gardens and is a veritable mini “garden of eden”.

There is a safe in the room and some baskets for storage, it has its own bathroom that is outside, but is attached to the house and just a few safe steps away. There is also closet and storage space and a small refrigerator, and eating utensils and plates and cups. It does not have cooking facilities, but we of course have our on-site warung. The bathroom is cheerfully decorated, has an outdoor shower and abundant hot water. There is a sitting area outside, with stone furniture (surprisingly comfortable) for dining or writing. All in all this little house has everything you could ask for to be comfortable, private and surrounded by nature.

Itinerary

daily yoga classes
creatively sequenced vinyasa and restorative classes for all levels

Practice yoga in a beautiful hardwood floor open-air yoga studio where mats, blankets, straps, and bolsters are all provided. The classes will be vinyasa yoga (linking movement with the breath), as well as restorative yoga with essential oils (a gentle practice with longer holds - all poses on the ground).

The creatively-sequenced classes will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, energizing, and meditation. In addition, there will be several workshops (arm balance, handstands, myofascial release) and lectures.

Bre and Flo- I can't thank you enough for your thoughtfulness and dedication to our Joshua Tree Yoga Retreat. You two continue to impress us all- I can't imagine the months, days and hours of preparation that went into planning every minute of our time together; and somehow you two execute this flawlessly, and with so much love...how do you do it??? Your ability to exemplify mindfulness in every aspect of your lives continues to inspire us all to do the same, and your ability to develop a group of strangers into lifelong friends is extraordinary. Thank you for changing MY life; I will never forget this experience.

I wasn't familiar with Bre or Flo before I spontaneously signed up for their Joshua Tree retreat in March but I am so glad to have found them! They are both incredible humans who put so much love and passion into their practice and teachings. The way they programmed the retreat was perfect with outdoor hiking excursions, a private group session at the Integration (which is really hard to reserve on your own!) and of course the right blend of yoga, breathwork and meditation in both the morning and evening, plus very informative inversion and arm balance workshops. They also secured us in-home Italian chefs preparing completely plant-based meals. This retreat really inspired me and gave me a chance to reset and restart some really healthy practices. Excited to retreat with them again!!
Bre & Flo are amazing yogi's. Their retreat was the perfect combination of yoga, informative lectures, "field-trips," and chill time. They put an immense amount of dedication into planning such a memorable retreat unlike anything I've ever been on. I'm glad I got to be a part of such an amazing location with tons of healing energy & love. Namaste.
My deepest gratitude and thankfulness towards Bre and Flo for organizing this retreat. It was wonderful. The retreat was exceptionally organized, it was heart-opening, challenging, very informative, comprehensive, and truly provided for implementing more yoga into my life, every day, at my home. During the retreat, not only did we practice yoga twice a day, we also learned myofascial release techniques, had a fantastic handstand and arm-balance workshop, created essential oil spray and sages, and we received the nicest welcome bag ever. Every single second was filled with loving kindness and passion. I am very thankful and grateful and look forward to continuing the journey. Thank you so much Bre and Flo

I came on this retreat solo and left with 23 new friends, thanks in part to the hard work Breathe and Flow put into planning the weekend and also to The Lotus Farm, the gorgeous farm that hosted and spoiled us with life-changing delicious vegetarian meals that we could all bond over :) Every part of this retreat was exactly what I was looking for in a weekend escape where I could nourish my mind, body, and soul!
