Join us June 16th - 23rd, 2023 on an 8 days and 7 nights private tour to Casablanca, Fes with an overnight stay in the Sahara Desert and then onto Marrakech.  

We will visit the imperial cities of Morocco and spend an unforgettable night under the stars located in the heart of the impressive Sahara desert of Merzouga.  Merzouga is situated in the middle of the famous Erg Chebbi dunes.

Moreover, we will discover unparalleled landscapes, extensive valleys, dunes, gorges, mountain passes, and towns camouflaged in the landscape.  Imagine gazing at fortresses that crown the hills, meeting locals, and much more!!!

This is our 3rd trip to Africa and 2nd time visiting Morocco, but this time we've added more adventures to the itinerary!!

The first day of our tour begins when you arrive in Casablanca.  You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your accommodation in Casablanca for rest.

After breakfast, we will visit Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, then drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco.  In Rabat we will visit Hassan Tower, one of the earliest mosques in Morocco,  which was the biggest one in the 12th century.  

We will also have a chance to visit Mohamed V mausoleum and Oudayas Kasbah in addition to the Royal Palace.  After which we will continue navigating our tour to Fes.  Once in Fes, you will check in to your hotel then free time for rest and dinner.

Once you have breakfast at the hotel, your full day tour with our local guide will commence.  We will be discovering the oldest imperial city in Morocco. The interesting places to visit are the Royal Palace gate, Pottery section, the Tanneries, Moulay Idriss mausoleum, Al Qaraouine University, the Attarine Medrassa and the Jewish quarter.

We will pause in time to allow your to retrieve some Moroccan fare. After lunch, we will begin a cooking class that teaches you how to prepare a few typical Moroccan dishes.  You will them test/evaluate your own cooking skills by having dinner with the dishes you made.
LUNCH INCLUDED

THIS IS AN 8 HOUR DRIVE WITH A COUPLE OF STOPS ALONG THE WAY.After breakfast we’ll continue our tour and head towards Ifrane, nicknamed as “the Switzerland of Morocco”.  We will stop briefly at a cedar forest near Azrou city, where we are allowed to watch and feed Barbarian apes.

Next up is traveling through Ziz valley, passing a few Berber villages to Erfoud.   Finally we will arrive at Merzouga and hop on a 4x4 which will take us to the middle of the desert where the desert camp is situated. After some rest, we will start a camel ride to see the beautiful sunset over the sand dunes.  Upon completion we will ride back to the campsite to have dinner and enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire.

Rise and shine!  We will be rising very early this day, so that you will be able to watch and enjoy the desert sunrise over the sandy dunes, while having breakfast at the camp.
Later in the day, we will ride take an hour ride on ATV’s.   Once we’ve had our way with the alterrain vehicles, we will start our day with a visit to the Town of Erfoud.  Erfoud is known for its fossil factories and underground irrigation system ( Khattarat).

After catching your breath, we will drive in the direction of Tinghir where we’ll explore the gorges of Todgha and have a refreshing walk through the canyons.

Lastly, we will drive to Dades Valley where we’ll spend the night.

This morning, after breakfast, we leave towards Marrakech via Rose Valley, Ouarzazate and Ait Benhadou. We will stop at the filming Studios of Ouarzazate and the historical Kasbah Ait Benhadou, a fortified village recognized a world heritage by Unesco. Afterwards, we drive through the High Atlas mountains to Marrakech.

After having breakfast in the morning, you’ll meet your local guide who will take you for a sightseeing tour in the old city of Marrakesh including Bahia Palace, the Saadian tombs, Koutoubia mosque. After a fabulous lunch in a terrace of a local restaurant, you will take a walk in the local markets. Afternoon is free to rest or discover other areas on your own.

Today you’ll have free time to relax in Marrakech until your departure time, and then we transfer you to the airport and wish you a safe trip home.
