I had no idea there would be that many LDS singles all together. I think we had over 100. It was a really great way to meet a bunch of new people and have a good time. I also enjoyed the excursions Cheri put together. It was nice to go with people from our group and share the experience together. The only thing I will say is this was my very first cruise and my first trip with Cheri. As someone who is very new to the cruise experience, I didn't really know what to expect and having to wait until 3 weeks before departure to see what the excursion options even were, was kind of stressful. I'm sure if you cruise all the time and you know what to expect, it isn't as bad. But for a new person, I would have felt a lot more comfortable having that planned out and paid for much earlier. That is my only complaint, though. Everything else was great. I especially thought the murder game was a clever way to get people to know eachother.

Cheri was an excellent hostess! I loved her balance between group activities and personal time. I was able to get to know a lot of people and make a ton of friends. I would have preferred a larger ship with more activities.

Thank you Cheri for organizing such a wonderful trip!

Overall, I had an excellent time as first cruises go. The excursions were excellent adventures and I am glad I selected the ones I did - I believe I selected well for my preferences and got a big bang for the $$ spent. All the excursion partners were professional and took very good care of us, and in many ways, in spite of my ignorance I still made it through all the outings without missing the ship because of the good people we were with. I also appreciated how the more frequent cruisers who understood how Cheri's trips go understood the flow and were willing and able to lead excursions as needed, both structured and unstructured ones. As far as the actual ship goes, I think accommodations were exactly what I anticipated as far as stateroom and space goes. However, as a first time cruiser, I wasn't sure how much I needed to know about Carnival operations and Cheri's operations - a part of me believed Cheri and her documents were preparing us enough that we didn't need to go through and do a ton of research on Carnival's permissions and restrictions. However, I was deeply mistaken on this point. Due to some things that happened, there were things I wish I'd known prior. I think Cheri could have included certain pieces in her resources for us, and might consider making a special packet for first-time cruisers with guidance, things they should know for best experiences, such as what to research and what to be aware of about the ship that the trip coordinator might not be responsible for. For example, things that Carnival allowed in terms of food brought on board needed greater clarification. I expressed concerns and doubts about whether the ship could accommodate dairy free and gluten free, but had no idea about the "factory-sealed" requirement until too late, and the ship made me throw away most of what I brought as backup food. The ship provided almost nothing that was dairy free unless it was naturally dairy free, and it did only a passable job providing gluten free options, with only very few dishes in the buffet being both gluten and dairy free. So, not only did I lose much of my food resources getting on the ship, but I struggled to eat sufficient nutrients while on the ship. By struggled, I mean it took me twice the time of any passenger to sort through the options, ask my questions, and find food I could eat that met enough food groups during the day (breakfast and lunch). In general, the only food I ate was sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, grits, or from the salad bar, with the occasional dish from the buffet. All this being said, most of the time I skipped lunch due to excursions and opted in favor of dinner, where I knew I could get a good meal that met my needs. In the end, I survived but food was so much a burden and stressor that if I judged by the work it took to eat, it was barely a vacation! Now, some of my favorite things about the ship were all the pools, the availability of the deck and gym in the mornings and all day, and the number of shows and options of things to do while at sea. My favorite things about how Cheri structured the trip included the way the dinners were organized so that we could meet more people, that we could see who would be on excursions with us (which helped associate names and faces quickly), and the karaoke night, and the slideshow at the end. What fun to be able to review all the events and good times! The schedule was clear and maintained well throughout the trip too. However, no mention was given by Cheri or crew about how much smoke we'd have to walk through every day, which could have contributed risk for respiratory dysfunction through secondhand smoke exposure, which then impacts overall wellness of anyone whether they know they are smoke-sensitive or not. Eventually, I learned which floors and areas were most smoke-prone and managed to avoid them, but knowing this ahead of time might have helped me make plans (i.e. bring and carry a mask) to retain my health for longer during the week of travel. At least four people I know had upper respiratory issues during this trip, which encourages me to make mention of this matter to hopefully enhance the caution and awareness for future passengers and members of these trips. The best thing I learned from this trip is that I can survive a cruise despite challenges with food, that there is so much to do on a ship that a person needs to strike balance in order to successfully navigate the trip mentally and emotionally, and the things that will matter if I ever do a cruise again. At this moment, I have no intention of ever doing a cruise again though since I think the things I struggled with most would again be a struggle for me no matter what cruise or trip I would sign into. I'm glad I did such a trip at least once, and am grateful for the memories as well as the community and care I felt during the trip.

This company is A++! Their trips are epic. Cheri and Tom try to think of everything and they are so successful at creating a great atmosphere for everyone involved. Many things that are not usually thought of by travel companies, they go the extra mile on. I have gone on 3 trips with them and already have 2 more booked. I cannot wait! If you get the chance, I would highly recommend booking with them. You would be pressed to find a more welcoming group. I am single and I love that I do not have to travel by myself and think of everything on my own. All of the worry is taken out. They have assisted with information and timelines for visas and immunizations, etc. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
