About this trip

Join us on the trip of a lifetime and help support underserved youth!

Even in a region as crammed with jewels as the Caribbean, Jamaica is a powerfully beautiful island. In addition to the stunning natural environment, Jamaican culture has many layers and offerings within its vibrant culture and communities. Join My Yute Soccer ‘s Founder delivering a uniquely crafted experience influenced by footballing in his native Kingston and a career in travel and Bay Area food and beverage industries.

You'll experience some of the best beaches in the world, sample famous Jamaican cuisine and hospitality and support sustainable businesses that are key to the future survival of the local economy - all while learning about how soccer is both part of the lifeblood of the local community and the key to a better future for underserved youth.

You'll stay at the world-famous Jake's Hotel,  a romance-drenched luxury boutique hotel that is at the center of art, food and nightlife in Treasure Beach and a favored hangout of celebrity visitors.

Travel with purpose

Your trip will support non-profit organizations that are using soccer to support underserved youth in Jamaica and Oakland.

Founded in Oakland, California, My Yute Soccer's mission is to provide a diverse socio-economic and cultural community with access to soccer by providing free camps and a teen mentor program.

Beginning in 2012, MYS reached back to its roots in Jamaica and began partnering with the Treasure Beach Foundation's 'BREDS'. BREDS is a non-profit organization working in partnership with community members to effect social change through improving education, sports and environmental conservation.

My Yute's support includes providing free soccer camps, building a teen mentor program and sourcing new partnerships–all with the goal of exposing more individuals to world perspectives through soccer.

I had a great trip, especially the volunteer work with the local people was amazing. It’s the best way to experience a country. I liked that the trip was planned in close dialogue with me so I could express what I prefer.

Well organized and staffed, their execution was seamless! Highly recommended and would travel with them again.
This trip was amazing! Black Arrow and Third Half arranged for us to do a little bit of everything: We explored Cartagena, we went to the beach, we visited the mountains. We stopped by a local non-profit and played soccer with their youth. We visited Palenque and learned about Colombia's Afro-Colombian heritage. Black Arrow and Third Half thought of everything - all of our transportation, meals, and excursions were set up ahead of time. All we had to do was make sure we got to the bus on time. This trip was top notch. I can't wait for the next one.

I had a great time. Every detail was well organized. The food was delicious, however, we could have had less time or more snack items provided in between meals

This trip was brilliantly concieved and impecably executed. It was full of learning, adventure, and fun. Everything you would want from a journey. My only suggestion is that more warning be given about the choppy boat ride over the ocean so that people with motion sickness take medicine in sufficient time before. Also, I would have loved to get a bit more insight into the safter record of the captain lol. But I really have no complaints. Thank you for an amazing time. I hope to reconnect with you all again.
