Live Pure Culinary Institute offers world class Plant Based Culinary Arts education.

Upon graduation students go on to exciting careers in the Culinary Arts world wide. 



Heather is the Owner and Head Chef of Live Pure Culinary Institute.

She is a Certified Plant Based Chef with over a decade of experience in the field of
Holistic Wellness Education.

She has been plant based for 35 years and is a passionate foodie, yogi and health nut.
Her lifelong love of gourmet and international cuisine lead her to study Culinary Arts with a focus on healthy and vegetarian food.

 Heather has worked as a private chef and a retreat chef and has hosted culinary workshops and trainings. She is the Author of the forthcoming book Yoga Food and is passionate about culinary arts education and helping others integrate delicious plant based cuisine into their lives.

Heather is a graduate of Pure Joy Academy and the Anne Wigmore Institute has studied Culinary Arts in Thailand, Bali and Mexico.  

A former Career Counselor at a top USA business school, she loves coaching “holistic entrepreneurs” and teaching her students how to make a living doing what they love.

It is conveniently located 90 minutes south of Liberia International Airport and 40 minutes north of the famous surf town, Nosara.

We offer free airport transport for our students.

Live Pure Plant Based Chef Certification courses offer a comprehensive study into a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle as a means to heal the body and ignite your spirit of adventure and passion to get you into the kitchen and experiment. We are a vegan, plant- based culinary institute with courses in Costa Rica. We are an Internationally Certified by Raw Food Chef Alliance. Our Instructors are Raw Food Chef Alliance Certified Raw Food Chefs. Our Certification courses are approved by: Raw Food Chef Alliance, an International organization that Certifies Raw Food Chef Schools and Raw Food Chefs. Upon successful course completion and graduation students. CAHNPRO (Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals) for upgrading hours and continuing education credit units. CSNN (Canadian School of Natural Nutrition) for graduates and current students to receive external practicum hours.
