This morning, we'll meet our private guide to begin a comprehensive tour exploring Tokyo's most historic and remarkable sites. Next, we journey to Asakusa Temple. Dating back to 628 AD, it is the oldest temple in Tokyo. In the afternoon, we visit the Tokyo National Museum
Famed as the first national museum in Japan and one of the largest museums in Asia, it is dedicated to collecting, preserving, researching, and exhibiting Japanese art and historic artifacts. We will look into their vast collection of Buddhist sculptures, ukiyo-e prints by Harunobu and Hokusai, and pre-Meiji era paintings by masters such as Hashimoto Gahō and Isoda Koryūsai. The museum holds the largest collection of Japanese antiquities in the world with samurai armor, swords, ancient ceramics. Learning about Japan's rich history is not just fascinating - it will open your eyes and change your view of this amazing country forever.

We'll start our day at the peaceful Meiji Shrine, a Shinto sanctuary nestled in a lush 70-hectare forest. Enter through a grand torii gate and enjoy a calming walk along gravel paths surrounded by towering trees. Visit the Main Shrine to offer prayers and explore the tranquil gardens, including historical features like Kiyomasa’s Well.

Then continue to the historic Yanaka, a charming district that preserves the nostalgic feel of old Tokyo. Stroll through Yanaka Cemetery for a peaceful moment, then explore Yanaka Ginza, a quaint shopping street with local snacks, crafts, and an old-world vibe. Today in the morning our driver will meet us at the hotel lobby and take us to the train station to continue our journey. The Shinkansen train is the fastest train in Japan and one of the fastest ones in the world. It is an experience in itself and is the best way to get around Japan, especially from Tokyo to Kyoto. After arriving in Kyoto we will be taken to our hotel to drop off our bags before beginning our day in the city.

First we will journey to the iconic 8th century Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that create a mesmerizing path up the forested mountain. This Shinto shrine, dedicated to the god of rice and agriculture, offers a spiritual and photogenic experience.

Next, stroll through the charming streets of the traditional and historic Higashiyama district. This area is known for its well-preserved historical lanes, wooden buildings, and traditional merchant shops. Your guide will introduce you to local artisans and explain the cultural importance of the crafts and goods sold here.

We finish our tour for the day at the breathtaking Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Perched on the hillside with stunning views over Kyoto, this temple is famous for its wooden stage that juts out from the main hall. In the morning after breakfast we meet our private guide and start our full day exploration of Kyoto.

We start with the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the Imperial Family's residence from 794 until 1868, during the time when Kyoto was the capital of Japan. Here you have a chance to explore the palace buildings (from the outside) and the gardens, which were just recently opened to the public.

Head to Arashiyama, the second-most important sightseeing district in Kyoto, which is filled with temples and shrines. The highlight of the district is the famed Bamboo Forest, one of the most photographed sights in Kyoto. Standing in the midst of this sprawling bamboo grove is like being in another world; it has a sense of otherness that is very much unlike that of any other forest. This is an experience that is not to be missed!

Your tour continues with visiting Kinkakuji, one of the top UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the most remarkable Buddhist temples, and a gorgeous, golden must-see attraction!

Step back in time and explore the iconic Nijo-Jo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers a fascinating glimpse into Japan’s feudal past.

Accompanied by an expert guide, we’ll uncover the history behind the Tokugawa shogunate and the significance of this grand castle in Kyoto. Next we step into the world of Japan’s legendary warriors with the Samurai & Ninja Experience in Kyoto.

Hiroshima City Tour with The A-Bomb Dome
After breakfast at our hotel we are met by our private guide to head out for an exciting tour of Hiroshima city. Here we will visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park located in the area that used to be the political and commercial heart of the city, before the bomb.

The main site at the park is the Peace Memorial Museum, which focuses on the events of August 6: the dropping of the bomb and its outcome in human suffering.

The exposition serves as a reminder that peace should not be taken for granted. The A-Bomb Dome, also known as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, is what remains of the former Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, it was one of the few buildings to remain standing when the bomb exploded. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the A-Bomb Dome today is a tangible link to Hiroshima's unique past.

Miyajima Island & Itsukushima Shrine

After some time for lunch, together with our guide we take a ferry to Miyajima Island.

The island is officially named Itsukushima, but more popularly known as Miyajima, literally "shrine island"; in Japanese, thanks to its most important attraction - the centuries-old Itsukushima Shrine. The shrine and its torii gate are unique in that they are built over water, as if floating in the sea during high tide.

After the tour we return back to our hotel before heading to our final dinner together.
