Day 1 - Checking In

Day 1 - Checking In image

Everything you need to know about checking in

Where do I check in?

If you booked a Slopeside Condo or Village Condo, check in is at the Stateside Hotel 802-988-2752

If you booked a Timberline Cottage/Condo, check in is at the Golf Clubhouse 802-988-2760

Here is a handy map to help navigate at Jay Peak

To Check In:

To check in, send one person per condo inside the building. The booking will be under the name of the person who booked on WeTravel. If you booked for multiple condos, the first name listed on the additional condo will be the name the booking is under at the check in desk.

Check In begins at Jay Peak at 6pm. If you arrive before then, head to the check in front desk and see if your unit is ready for early check in - many will have this available.

(If you plan to arrive after 11pm and the Golf Clubhouse is closed, go to the Hotel Jay 802-327-2160. Consider calling ahead to the Club House if this is the case).

At the check in desk you will get your arrival packet, including lift tickets.

  • Take a picture of your lift tickets!

Please take a picture of the Lift Tickets and Water Park party wristbands. Jay Peak’s guest team has taken corresponding pictures of the lift tickets and the water park wrist bands when they packed the arrival packets – if you’re missing anything please bring it up to the front desk staff right away, preferably within minutes of receiving the packet.

If you have condo questions or problems (for example, if you are missing a ticket in your arrival packet, or something is missing from your condo) call your check in desk.

If you need us for something more specific or booking related, please TEXT SnowRiders on our text-only line at (603) 367-3513‬ TEXT or email us at info@thesnowriders.com

Text will allow us to address multiple parties at once.

We will respond ASAP to these texts but will be helping guests throughout the day and may not respond immediately. Text allows us to manage multiple parties' inquiries at once.

LIFT TICKETS + SKIING FRIDAY

If you bought Friday tickets, just go to the check in desk and send ONE person per condo inside to the front desk to collect your lift tickets. The first person in your condo will take all the lift tickets for your condo, in a packet. Take a photo of the Lift Ticket barcode! Once you have your tickets, go skiing.

Security Deposit:
Jay Peak also requires a credit card for a security deposit on the room (do not use a debit card or it will code as a purchase and take longer to refund). The first person to arrive must place the security deposit and take the full packet of lift tickets.

When can I actually get inside my condo?
Jay Peak check in begins at 6pm. If you're there early, check with the desk to see if your unit is available.

Parking:
Jay Peak requires that you only park one vehicle at the condos. If you have more vehicles, park at the resort parking lots and shuttle back to the condo. Don't get towed! (There might be a lot of spots, so this might not be necessary, but we are obligated to tell you. Just be cognizant that other guests need to park at the condos, too. Please don't take all the spots.)

Shuttles:
Call for shuttles from the condo phones at extension 7777. These shuttles run somewhat regularly around the resort and take requests for pickup at the lodging units.

Day 1 - Friday

Getting to Jay Peak, Things to do

Getting to Jay Peak:  Jay Peak is located on VT-242 in northern Vermont. Most of you will arrive via US-91 (most often via US-93). Definitely use a GPS / phone app. Expect that you might lose service along the way.

Jay Peak's property is split into two sides - Stateside and Tramside. There are TWO entrances to Jay Peak Resort. Most people approach Jay on route 242 traveling west. In that case, the first entrance sign says TRAMSIDE. The second entrance sign says STATESIDE.

Friday Morning

ROADTRIP! Gear up to drive to Jay, Vermont, just a couple of miles from the Canadian border. Have a solid podcast lineup or road trip playlist ready.

See the above section about checking in and getting your lift tickets.

Lift Tickets + Skiing Friday:
If you bought Friday tickets, just go to the check in desk and send ONE person per condo inside to the front desk to collect your lift tickets. The first person in your condo will take all the lift tickets for your condo, in a packet. Take a photo of the Lift Ticket barcode! Once you have your tickets, go skiing. They may have an update on what time your condo will be available for check in.

Food and Libations:

Near Jay: If you want dinner as you arrive, we suggest the Jay Village Inn, 10 minutes east of the resort, or the Black Lantern Inn and the Belfry, both 15 minutes west of the resort.

En Route: If you want a great beer and food stop on your way up, consider Schilling Brewing in Littleton, NH, only about 5 minutes off of I-93. It's about 80-90 minutes from Jay Peak and makes a great pit stop.

For the more adventurous, a trip to Hill Farmstead for beers to-go and Parker Pie for pizza and drafts always pleases.

On campus, the Tower Bar on Tramside usually has a good vibe. The Bullwheel Bar in the Stateside Hotel is really laid back and open. The Foundry Pub in the Hotel Jay (Tramside) is a little more refined and quiet. Often, the quietest spot of all is Sis Boom Burgers, at the Golf Clubhouse.

Activities: Jay Peak also has a bunch of fun things to do, including: An arcade, a general store, a climbing gym, a movie theater, an ice skating rink, a spa, an authentic Ramen noodle hut, and more: https://jaypeakresort.com/things-to-do/activities

Day 2 - Saturday

Wake up and Shred

Ski. Ride. Be true to yourself. Definitely take a photo of your friend when they crash at low speed and get stuck awkwardly under a spruce tree.

Hit Apres Ski after hitting the slopes, grab dinner, and save gas in the tank for the water park.

Apres Ski + Food & Libations:

Saturday Night Water Park Party 8:30pm

Everything you need to know.

All SnowRiders guests aged 18+ are welcome to attend the water park party. When you check in to the hotel on Friday your arrival packet will contain wristbands that will serve as your entrance to the party.

If you plan to ride the Flow Rider, sign the waiver here.

Jay Peak retains the right to search all baggage at the water park. Frankly, they just don’t want anybody to smuggle in alcohol. There is a full bar in the water park! FYI last call will happen relatively early – ask (and tip) your bartenders.

The Water Park party is from 8:30pm – 10:30pm. Plan to arrive right on time. Do not arrive early, you will not be granted access. (A few minutes early is probably okay, just stay away from the water park stairs).

We have ordered shuttles to circulate at 10:30pm from the Hotel Jay (where the water park is). Please be patient.

Shuttles:
Call for shuttles from the condo phones at extension 7777

Day 3 - Sunday

Check out of your condo before going skiing Sunday

PACK UP AND CHECK OUT by 10:00am! Ski after!

You must return your keys to one of the resort Hotel front desks. We recommend Stateside Hotel or Hotel Jay.
