Walk through the historic village landscape at the base of Jebel Akhdar and learn about the traditional falaj irrigation system that has supported local farms and date plantations for generations.

Continue by 4x4 through the mountain checkpoint and ascend the winding road to the Saiq Plateau, with the air becoming cooler as the elevation rises.

Follow a guided trail linking Al Aqr, Al Ain and Ash Shirayjah. Pass stone homes, falaj channels and agricultural terraces planted with pomegranates, walnuts and seasonal crops. Damask roses typically bloom in spring, with timing varying each year.
