About your trip

Greetings, Beloved Jerusalem Family,

This year marks a truly remarkable chapter in our journey of faith and fellowship—it’s our 60th anniversary! Since our inception in 1964, we’ve united in worship and dedicated service, and it’s time to commemorate this significant milestone.

We cordially invite you to be part of this grand celebration aboard the Carnival’s Radiance Cruise Ship from November 15th to 18th, 2024.  Prepare for a delightful blend of enjoyment, fellowship, and a special Worship Service on Sunday morning.

Don’t miss out on this extraordinary and splendid event.  Let’s set sail together and make memories that will last another 60 years and beyond.  All aboard for this momentous celebration!

Deposits

An initial deposit of $50 is due at time of reservation. Full per person deposit of $100 may be required for other occupancy or category.

For your convenience, the remaining balance will be due as per the payment plan shown on reservation selection. You will receive an email with a link to pay when a payment is due.

All pricing is per person and is based on your cabin category (balcony, ocean view, or interior) and occupancy (single, double, triple, quad) selection.  Additional rates for Suite category staterooms are available upon request.

Payments can be made via credit card or eCheck.

Final payment of all balances due must be paid by August 23, 2024.

Passports

It is highly recommended that everyone taking a cruise from the United States have a passport book.  U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises will be able to enter or depart the country with proof of citizenship, such as an Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL), a government-issued birth certificate (issued by the Vital Records Department in the state where  he or she was born) or passport.  Though some ”closed-loop” cruises (meaning your trip begins and ends at a U.S. port) may not require a U.S. passport, we recommend bringing yours in case of an emergency, such as an unexpected medical air evacuation or the ship docking at an alternate port.

Insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive international travel insurance that has both cruise and COVID coverage. Certain ports of call may impose a requirement that you hold travel insurance.

Transfers

There's no need to start your vacation with stress. Get your airport-to-ship transportation taken care of with worry-free transfer service from Carnival. You'll also gain access to the cruise terminal as soon as the transfer gets you there, regardless of your arrival appointment time — a small thing that's surprisingly nice on embarkation day! And after the cruise, of course we'll get you to the airport in time for your return flight.

LOS ANGELES / LONG BEACH TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Los Angeles International Airport or Long Beach Airport to Port of Long Beach on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

TRANSPORTATION COST

Los Angeles International Airport and Port of Long Beach: – $34.99 per person each way*
Long Beach Airport to Port and Long Beach: – $31.99 per person each way*

NOTE: Guests who purchase their own air tickets and are using Carnival's Airport Transportation are required to provide flight information via Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise date. The airport is staffed based on known flight information. Once all known flights are met, the staff is released and service is no longer available.  Changes to flight details are the responsibility of the guest and must be re-entered into Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise. Carnival is not responsible for providing transportation to guests who schedule flights outside of the service times listed above or provide incorrect flight information.

Please ensure your flight arrives no later than 12:30pm.  Return flights should depart no earlier than 12:00 pm

Parking

To park in the cruise line’s parking structure, the cost is $23 per day. For oversize vehicles and those needing extra parking space, it is advised to call 562-901-323.

Traveling With A Minor

Guests are required to be 21 years of age (on embarkation day) to travel on their own. Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will result in denied boarding and no compensation will be provided at embarkation.

Guests Under the Age of 21 MUST travel with a relative or guardian of 25 years of age or older

Traveling with Minors

When traveling with a minor where one parent or both parents or legal guardians are not cruising, we strongly recommend bringing an original signed letter from the absent parent(s) or legal guardians authorizing the minor to travelwith you. If there is no second parent with legal claims to the minor (due to sole custody, deceased, etc.) other relevant paperwork, such as a court decision, death certificate, birth certificate naming only one parent, would be useful to bring in place of a signed letter. This will expedite processing by the Department of Homeland Security.

Where minor guests can be booked in relation to relative or guardian:

  • Guests 12 and younger
If the relative or guardian insists on booking separate staterooms, minors must either be directly across the hall or next door. Guests 12 and under may not be assigned to a balcony stateroom without a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older) traveling in the balcony stateroom with them.
  • Guests 13 - 17 years of age
Can be separated by up to 3 staterooms from a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older).
  • Guests 18 – 20 years of age
Do not have any restrictions and may book whatever location they prefer

What to Pack

To help you plan, we suggest you limit your luggage to a maximum of one bag per person, if traveling on cruises of 3-5 days duration, and no more than two bags per person, for cruises of 6 days or longer. In addition, you must personally carry-on any boarding documentation (passports, Visas, I.D), valuables, medications and items which require special handling.

Each checked suit case and carry-on suit case should not weigh more than 50 pounds, and when lying flat, bags must not exceed 16 inches high by 24 inches wide (the length of the bag is not a factor). For security screening purposes, all luggage should be unlocked. Oversized luggage and locked luggage may cause delivery delays.

Pack in Your Carry-On Bag
Since your checked luggage will arrive to your stateroom later in the day of embarkation, it is recommended that you pack a small carry-on bag with:

  • Proper Travel Documentation (passport, Visas, I.D.)
  • Important paperwork (tickets, insurance information)
  • Wallet (just the necessities: cash, credit cards, driver’s license)
  • Prescription medications in their original containers
  • A change of clothes
  • Personal toiletries (travel size or standard container sizes)
  • Anything else you might want access to before your luggage arrives

What Not to Pack

In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, Carnival prohibits certain items onboard, such as weapons, candles, irons, alcohol, or other dangerous goods. According to our policy, Carnival conducts security scanning of all luggage and if prohibited items are found, they will be removed and disposed of and no compensation will be given. Please review our list of Prohibited Items before shutting your suitcase.

What to Wear

For daytime, casual wear is the order of the day. Most evenings we have a 'Cruise Casual' dress code but there are those 'Cruise Elegant' evenings one or two nights throughout the voyage where guests will have the opportunity to showcase their most elegant attire. For details, click here

Day 1: LA (Long Beach)

Day 1: LA (Long Beach) image

Embarkation (Ship departs at 5:00pm)

When we talk about cruising from Los Angeles, fyi: we’re talking about cruises from Long Beach. A short drive from LA is where you’ll find this seaside Southern California city that’s inseparable from its big-city neighbor, while undeniably moving to its own local beat. Dotted with dozens of parks, beaches and multiple public golf courses (fore times five!), Long Beach also boasts perhaps the world’s most unique hotel — located aboard the old-time ocean liner The Queen Mary (which is haunted, or so go the rumors). You can experience it before one of Carnival’s cruises from Long Beach, but definitely don’t miss the glitzy, big-city Los Angeles — the right place to experience the left-coast life. Take in the storied sights of this City of Angels, from its modern museums and high-end shopping to its funky seaside towns and star-studded SoCal sights dotting the hills and boulevards. Hollywood — hooray! So if you’re dreaming about a cruise from Los Angeles, remember: Carnival’s cruises from Long Beach are just the ticket.

  • Climb aboard the Queen Mary, a glamorous 1930s ocean liner.
  • Find your favorite star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
  • Stroll through the art and antiquities of the Getty Center®.
  • Take the backlot tour of Universal Studios™ for a look at Hollywood mythmaking.
  • Gaze into the starry night sky through the Griffith Observatory's® giant telescope.

Fun Day at Sea

There are always lots of fun activities on board... or just lay back on a deck chair and do nothing at all!

Day 3:

Day 3: image

Ensenada, Mexico (8:00am-5:00pm)

Thanks to its stunning coastline, Ensenada will give you plenty of postcard-worthy moments…, and it couldn’t be easier to get there. Escape to Mexico’s original seaside getaway with Carnival cruises to Ensenada. Once a favorite hideaway for high-rolling Hollywood stars, Ensenada is now one of Mexico’s most popular ports of call. You can sightsee, shop or kayak at Punta Banda… but the true pleasures of this festive city are culinary. That’s why a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico should top every foodie’s wish list. Have your fill of fresh oysters and sip a rich Baja merlot. Soak up the richness of the local culture as you enjoy the journey.

  • Try unique Baja cuisine in Ensenada, the region's seafood and culinary capital.
  • Shop for silver jewelry and handmade pottery on Avenida López Mateos.
  • Watch the sea spout at La Bufadora burst from the rocks on Punta Banda.
