We are proud to announce that Educational Tours has been selected by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office to plan and organize the 2023 trip to Washington, D.C. for the Alachua County Safety Patrols.

Jillian wants to attend this field trip, and I would like to chaperone. This field trip would be a wonderful memory for us both and an amazing learning experience for Jillian. If you feel like you would like to help us, even a very small donation helps. Thank you for your kindness!

Day 1
4:00 am. Report to Santa Fe College. 5:00 am. Depart. Driver change in route. Rest stop at Georgia Welcome Center with breakfast snack. Lunch at the South Carolina Welcome Center. Rest stop at North Carolina Welcome Center. Buffet Dinner in VA en route. Hotel check in, Springfield, Virginia. (Participants should bring a breakfast snack & bag lunch, all other meals included)

Day 2
Breakfast. Meet licensed guide who will be with your group for the Washington portion of the tour. Group picture at the Grant Memorial with your Representative. Tour Arlington National Cemetery (See the Kennedy Gravesite, the Changing of the Guard, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier). Box lunch. Narrated bus tour of Embassy Row. Guided tour of the National Cathedral. Tour the Jefferson Memorial. Tour the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and Korean Memorial. Dinner. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast. Tour Mt. Vernon, the home of George Washington. Tour the Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space. Lunch in area food court. Meet guide at Museum. Picture stop at the White House. Tour the World War II Memorial. Walking or Coach tour of the Capitol Hill area. See the Capitol Building. Dinner at Catholic University Student Union. Night tour of Washington with stops at the FDR, Martin Luther King Jr., and Iwo Jima Memorials.

Breakfast. Tour of the World War II Memorial. Tour the National Law Enforcement Memorial. Tour the International Spy Museum. Lunch at the International Trade Center. Tour the Smithsonian Museum of American History. Tour the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Dinner. Return to the hotel. Time to pack up for our return trip!
