After breakfast, we will move to Jerash, the Greco- Roman City, known as the City of the 1000 columns. Jerash is known as the best-preserved Decapolis City in the modern world. After having lunch in Jerash we will head to Ajloun where we will visit "Qala'at Ajloun", which was built in 1184 AD by Izzedin Usama, who was one of the generals of the Arab leader Salah Eddin, to protect the routes between Jordan & Syria. Our next destination is known to be one of the Decapolis cities, situated on a hilltop overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Gadara or known as Umm Qays was the center of cultural events and the haven of poets. Ruins of the Roman Period are still visible such as the black basalt theatre and the basilica, and the colonnaded street, the Ottoman Governor’s house, which has been just recently restored and opened as a museum. After our tour in Umm Qays, we will return to Amman overnight.
